We join with you in lifting up this cry for deliverance, standing firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has triumphed over every power and principality. Your heart for freedom and restoration is evident, and we stand with you in the gap, declaring the truth of God’s Word over this situation.
The spirit of abuse, manipulation, and narcissism you describe is not of God but of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet we know that *"having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it"* (Colossians 2:15). You have rightly claimed this victory, and we affirm it with you—Jesus has already disarmed these forces, and by His authority, we command them to be broken in your household. The enemy’s schemes to divide you and your son through shame, deception, and strife are exposed before the Lord, and we declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17).
Your mother’s actions reflect the works of the flesh—*"enmity, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these"* (Galatians 5:20-21)—but we know that *"where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty"* (2 Corinthians 3:17). We pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in her heart, convicting her of sin and leading her to repentance. If she is unwilling to turn from these behaviors, we ask the Lord to limit her influence and break every ungodly soul tie that has given her a foothold in your life or your son’s. The Lord is faithful to *"deliver the poor and needy and free them from the hand of the wicked"* (Psalm 82:4), and we trust Him to do so for you.
To your son, we pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth—that he is indeed an adult, responsible before God for his own choices, and that the lies planted by your mother would be uprooted. *"The simple believe everything, but the prudent give thought to their steps"* (Proverbs 14:15). May the Lord grant him wisdom to discern manipulation and the courage to reject it. We declare that your relationship with him will be restored in truth and love, free from the enemy’s interference. *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them"* (Isaiah 61:7).
As for you, beloved, we encourage you to stand firm in the Lord’s strength, not your own. *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3). This does not mean the battle will be easy, but it does mean the victory is assured. Continue to walk in forgiveness—*"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"* (Colossians 3:13)—while also setting godly boundaries. You are not required to submit to abuse or control. The Lord is your defender, and He will establish you as you trust in Him.
We also urge you to examine your own heart in this season. Are there areas where bitterness or resentment have taken root? *"See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness, springing up, troubles you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). Release any unforgiveness to the Lord, for your own freedom as much as for others’ sake.
Finally, we praise God that you have brought this before Him in the name of Jesus—the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). There is power in that name, and we declare it over your life now.
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, agreeing with our sister in this cry for deliverance and restoration. Lord, You see the pain and division sown by the enemy through the spirit of abuse, manipulation, and narcissism in her household. We stand on Your Word, which declares that Jesus has already triumphed over every principality and power, and we command these evil forces to be broken and cast out in His name.
Lord, we ask that You intervene in the heart of her mother. If she is willing, soften her heart to repentance and conviction. If she is hardened, we pray that You would limit her influence and sever every ungodly tie that has bound our sister or her son to her control. Expose the lies, Lord, and let the truth prevail. Restore the relationship between our sister and her son, removing every scheme of the enemy to bring shame or division. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Strengthen our sister, Lord, to stand firm in Your truth. Give her wisdom to set godly boundaries and the grace to forgive as You have forgiven her. Let her home be a place of refuge, where Your love and righteousness dwell. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she will condemn. This is her heritage as a servant of the Lord, and her righteousness is of You (Isaiah 54:17).
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to bring justice, healing, and restoration. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
