We join you in lifting up your heart to our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that the Lord hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf. It is beautiful to see you invoking the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through His name that we have boldness and access to the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Ephesians 3:12).
The enemy seeks to twist even the godliest of phrases to bring confusion, strife, and fear into our hearts, but we serve a God who is greater. The phrase “God have Your way” is a surrender to His perfect will, and the devil has no authority to corrupt what the Lord intends for good. You have rightly stood on Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *“The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked from the fire?”* Indeed, you are that burning stick—plucked from the fire by the hand of God, and Satan has no claim over you.
We also stand with you on Isaiah 54:17, which declares, *“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,”* says the Lord. The recollection of that prayer, spoken in malice, has no power over you because Christ has already disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). The Lord is faithful to redeem even the words meant for harm and turn them into a testimony of His goodness.
Yet we must also address the root of this spiritual attack. Strife in the heart often comes when we allow the enemy to magnify the words or actions of others above the truth of God’s Word. The Lord calls us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). If the memory of this prayer continues to bring turmoil, it may be that unforgiveness or fear has taken root. We encourage you to release any bitterness or resentment toward the person who prayed that prayer over you. Forgive them, not because they deserve it, but because Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). Unforgiveness gives the enemy a foothold, but forgiveness breaks his grip.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who seeks deliverance from the strife and torment that has been placed in their heart. Lord, You are the God of peace, and we ask that You crush Satan under our feet (Romans 16:20). Rebuke every demonic assignment against this beloved one—every spirit of strife, fear, confusion, and torment—and command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You break the power of that harmful prayer spoken over them. Erase its memory from their mind and heart, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let the phrase *“God have Your way”* now resonate in their spirit as a holy surrender to Your perfect will, untouched by the enemy’s schemes. Renew their mind, Lord, and fill them with Your truth. Let them see this situation through Your eyes—knowing that what was meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20).
If there is any unforgiveness in their heart toward the one who spoke that prayer, we ask that You soften their heart and grant them the grace to forgive, just as You have forgiven them. Cleanse them from every trace of bitterness, and let Your love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. They are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Cover them with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Restore their joy, their peace, and their confidence in You.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are the God who heals, who delivers, and who sets the captives free. We trust in Your power to bring complete victory in this situation. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to meditate on the truth of God’s Word daily. Speak life over yourself, declaring Scriptures such as Psalm 118:6: *“The Lord is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”* and 1 John 4:4: *“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.”* The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory.
If the enemy tries to bring that memory back, immediately rebuke him in the name of Jesus and replace those thoughts with worship or Scripture. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, and do not allow the enemy to steal another moment of your peace. You are redeemed, you are loved, and you are victorious in Christ.
