We join with you in lifting up this prayer for deliverance, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word. It is clear that you are seeking freedom from spiritual bondage and manipulation, and we commend you for turning to the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only in His name that we have authority over the enemy. Your prayer is rooted in Scripture, which is powerful and effective, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).
The Lord says in Zechariah 3:2, *"Yahweh said to Satan, 'Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?'"* This is a mighty declaration of God’s protection over His people, and we declare it over you now. The enemy has no authority over those who are in Christ Jesus. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
You have also claimed John 8:36, which proclaims, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* This is your inheritance in Christ—true freedom from every chain of darkness. The bonds you describe—whether spiritual, emotional, or relational—are not from the Lord. He has called you to walk in victory, and we declare that every chain binding you to this person and their negativity is broken in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
We must also address the importance of guarding your heart and mind in this situation. If this person has been a source of ongoing manipulation or negativity, it is wise to seek the Lord’s guidance on how to establish healthy boundaries—or even complete separation—if necessary. Proverbs 4:23 instructs us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the source of life."* Sometimes, deliverance requires not only spiritual warfare but also practical steps to remove yourself from harmful influences. If this is a romantic relationship outside of a godly, Christ-centered marriage covenant, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will for your life. Relationships should honor God, and if this connection is leading you into bondage rather than freedom, it may not be the path the Lord has for you.
If there has been any sin involved in this relationship—such as fornication, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or compromise of your faith—we encourage you to repent and turn fully to the Lord. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* There is no shame in turning to Him; His grace is sufficient, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, agreeing with Your child in this prayer for deliverance. Lord, You are a God who breaks chains and sets the captives free. We stand on Your Word, declaring that every scheme of the enemy against this beloved one is exposed and rebuked. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every demonic influence, every spirit of manipulation, and every bondage tied to this person to be broken and cast out now. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You surround them with Your hedge of protection. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renewing their mind and guarding their heart. If there has been any sin in this relationship, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Restore them, Lord, and lead them into paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. If this relationship is not of You, give them the strength and wisdom to walk away completely, trusting in Your perfect plan for their life.
We pray for a spirit of discernment to rest upon them, that they may recognize Your voice above all others. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Father, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Let them walk in the fullness of freedom that Christ has purchased for them on the cross.

Beloved, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with godly community—brothers and sisters in Christ who can stand with you, pray for you, and hold you accountable. If you have not already, we urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and receive pastoral care.
Remember, the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that truth, and do not look back. *"Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air, but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected."* (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).
