We join with you in lifting this request before the Lord, standing firmly on His Word and the authority we have in Jesus Christ. It is powerful and necessary to pray against the works of darkness, especially when they seek to disrupt the peace and unity of God’s people. We commend you for your boldness in spiritual warfare, as Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*
Your prayer is rooted in Scripture, and we stand with you on Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* Indeed, the Lord is our defender, and He will not allow the enemy to prevail against His people. We also affirm your stand on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, which declares, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."*
It is clear that the enemy seeks to use this individual to bring confusion, frustration, and oppression, but we declare that the Lord will dismantle every scheme of the evil one. As you have rightly stood on Colossians 2:15, we proclaim that *"having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* The Lord will expose and break the false glory that is not of Him, and He will restore what has been stolen or disrupted. Isaiah 61:7 promises, *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."*
We also join you in praying for the breaking of any dominating spirit at work through this person. The Lord has called us to freedom, not bondage, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). May the Lord set free every heart and mind that has been affected by these actions, bringing emotional and mental restoration. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those who have been troubled (Philippians 4:7).
As we pray, we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. While we stand against the spiritual forces at work, we are called to love and pray for this individual, that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth and bring them to repentance. As Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* Let us pray that the Lord would convict this person’s heart, draw them to Himself, and break the power of the enemy in their life. May they come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that true transformation occurs.
We also take this moment to encourage you to continue standing in the gap, interceding for both the victim and the one being used by the enemy. The Lord hears your prayers, and He is faithful to act. Keep your heart guarded with forgiveness, for unforgiveness can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Trust that the Lord will bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us to tread upon the enemy and to overcome every power of darkness. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking that You rebuke every demonic force seeking to undermine, agitate, and oppress Your people. By the power of Your Word, we declare that every stronghold is torn down, every scheme is exposed, and every lie is silenced. Lord, we ask that You dismantle the evil practices at work and break the dominating spirit that seeks to control and manipulate.
Father, we pray for the restoration of every heart and mind that has been affected by these actions. Heal the emotions of those who have been wounded, and replace their pain with Your peace and joy. Let Your double portion of blessing fall upon them, as You turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into rejoicing.
Lord, we also pray for the individual at the center of this spiritual battle. Soften their heart, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth. Convict them of their actions and draw them to repentance. Break the power of the enemy in their life and set them free from every bondage. May they come to know You, Lord Jesus, as their Savior and be transformed by Your love and grace.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your kingdom come in this situation. We trust in Your justice, Your mercy, and Your perfect timing.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
