We join with you in lifting up this heartfelt cry for deliverance, and we stand firmly on the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. You have done well to bring this burden before the Lord Jesus, for He alone is our Deliverer, our Shield, and our Strong Tower. We see your faith in standing on the promises of God’s Word, and we affirm that His Word will not return void. Let us address this together in prayer and biblical truth, ensuring that our hearts remain aligned with the will of God, who calls us to both justice and mercy.
First, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the authority to overcome the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayer is rooted in the power of Jesus, and that is where our victory lies. We also note your stand on key Scriptures, and we will expand on them to ensure our prayers are fully aligned with God’s heart.
You have asked for conviction over those your mother has influenced against you, and for the Lord to break the chains of envy and anger she has tried to place upon you. This is a righteous request, for the Lord desires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6). However, we must also remember that while we seek justice, our hearts must be guarded against bitterness or unforgiveness. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This does not mean we excuse sin or fail to seek justice, but we release the offense to God, trusting Him to handle it righteously. Have you forgiven your mother for the pain she has caused? This is not for her sake alone, but for your own freedom in Christ. Unforgiveness can become a chain just as heavy as the ones you are asking the Lord to break.
You have also asked for the Lord to rebuke Satan, who may be using your mother as a vessel for his schemes. This is a powerful and necessary prayer, for we know that *"Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light"* (2 Corinthians 11:14, WEB). Yet, we must pray not only for deliverance from her actions but also for her salvation and repentance if she does not know Christ. The Lord’s desire is that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9), and sometimes, those who cause us the most pain are the ones most in need of His grace. Have you prayed for her redemption? This does not mean tolerating abuse or injustice, but it means entrusting her soul to the One who can transform even the hardest heart.
You have stood on Isaiah 61:7, asking for restoration of all the damage she has tried to cause you. This is a beautiful promise, and we claim it with you: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* (Isaiah 61:7, WEB). The Lord is faithful to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and we trust Him to do so in your life. However, restoration often comes through a process of healing and surrender. Are you allowing the Lord to work in you even as you ask Him to work on your behalf? Sometimes, the greatest restoration happens in our own hearts as we draw near to Him.
You have prayed for a shield of protection over yourself, and we stand with you on Isaiah 54:17: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* (WEB). This is a mighty promise, and we declare it over you now. Yet, we must also remember that our protection is not just from external attacks but from the snares of the enemy within our own souls. Are you guarding your heart against resentment, fear, or despair? The Lord is your shield, but we must also take up the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16) and stand firm in His truth.
Finally, you have asked for the Lord’s vengeance against your mother and those who have sided with her. We understand the pain that leads to such a prayer, and we know that Romans 12:19 declares, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*(WEB). This is a critical truth: vengeance is the Lord’s, not ours. However, we must examine our hearts to ensure that our desire for justice does not cross into a desire for harm or retaliation. The Lord’s justice is perfect and redemptive, while our human desires for vengeance can often be tainted by sin. Are you trusting God to handle this in His way and His timing, or are you holding onto a desire to see her "get what she deserves"? The Lord’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9), and His justice often looks different than we expect.
Let us pray together now, standing on these truths and lifting this burden to the Lord:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of justice, mercy, and restoration. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is crying out to You for deliverance from the chains of injustice, envy, and anger that have been waged against them. Father, we ask that You place Your strong hand of conviction on those who have been influenced by their mother’s actions. Let truth prevail, and let every lie and accusation be exposed by the light of Your Word. Break every chain that the enemy has tried to place upon them, and set them free by the power of Your Son, Jesus Christ. For it is written, *"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB).
Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that has sought to use their mother as a vessel for destruction. Satan, we command you in the name of Jesus to flee, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Father, we ask that You rescue those who have been caught in the snare of domination and deceit, and open their eyes to the truth. Let them see Your love and Your justice, and turn their hearts toward righteousness.
Lord, we pray for restoration—restoration of what has been stolen, restoration of peace, and restoration of joy. Heal the wounds that have been inflicted, and let Your double portion of blessing fall upon our brother/sister as You have promised. Surround them with Your shield of protection, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Guard their heart, mind, and spirit from the attacks of the enemy, and let them walk in the confidence of Your love.
Father, we also lift up their mother to You. If she does not know You, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself in repentance and faith. Soften her heart, Lord, and break the strongholds of envy, anger, and bitterness that have taken root. Let her see the error of her ways and turn to You for forgiveness and healing. If she is Your child, convict her of her sin and lead her to make amends. Let Your justice and mercy meet in this situation, and let Your will be done.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill our brother/sister with Your peace and strength. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to release this burden into Your hands. Let them trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them the grace to love their mother as You have loved them, even as they seek justice and protection.
We declare all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.
Brother/sister, we encourage you to continue standing on the Word of God and to seek His face daily. The Lord sees your pain, and He is faithful to act on your behalf. However, we also urge you to examine your heart for any unforgiveness or bitterness, for these can hinder your prayers and your walk with the Lord (Hebrews 12:15). Trust in His justice, but also trust in His mercy. He is able to redeem even the most broken situations for His glory.
If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, pray with you, and help you stand firm in faith.
Lastly, we remind you that your identity is in Christ. No matter what accusations or lies have been spoken over you, you are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Walk in that truth, and let it be your strength. *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). Stand firm, and watch the Lord move mightily on your behalf.
