We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer of deliverance and spiritual warfare, standing firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ and the truth of Scripture. Your heart for both your mother’s salvation and your own restoration is evident, and we commend you for turning to the Lord in this battle. The Word of God is our sword, and we wield it with confidence, knowing that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).
You have rightly claimed the victory of Christ over the powers of darkness, for *"having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it"* (Colossians 2:15). This is not a battle fought in our own strength but in the might of our Lord, who has already disarmed every spiritual foe. We also stand with you on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, declaring that *"though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* The demons at work through your mother have no authority over you or her—they are already defeated foes, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name.
Yet, as we pray for deliverance, we must also remember that the greatest battle is for your mother’s soul. Witchcraft and bitterness are symptoms of a deeper spiritual stronghold—one that can only be broken by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Your mother needs more than deliverance from demonic influence; she needs salvation through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36). True freedom comes not just from the removal of oppression but from surrender to the Lordship of Christ. We pray that the Lord would soften her heart, convict her of sin, and draw her to Himself. May she encounter the love of God in such a way that bitterness, envy, and unforgiveness are replaced with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We also pray for your restoration, as you’ve claimed Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* The Lord sees the pain caused by your mother’s actions, and He is faithful to heal and restore what has been broken. He will turn your mourning into dancing and clothe you with gladness (Psalm 30:11). Do not allow bitterness to take root in your own heart, but forgive as Christ has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32). Forgiveness does not excuse sin, but it releases you from the bondage of resentment and opens the door for God’s redemptive work in both your lives.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word. Put on the whole armor of God so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. And remember, this battle is not yours alone—the Lord goes before you, and He will fight for you (Deuteronomy 20:4).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority we have in His name to trample over every power of the enemy. Lord, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who stands in the gap for their mother. We ask that You dismantle every stronghold of witchcraft, bitterness, envy, and unforgiveness that has taken root in her life. Break the chains of darkness, Lord, and let Your light shine into every hidden place. Expose the works of the enemy and render them powerless by the blood of Jesus.
Father, we pray for this mother’s salvation. Soften her heart, Lord, and remove the veil that blinds her to the truth. Let her encounter Your love in a way that shatters every lie she has believed. Draw her to repentance, and may she surrender her life to Jesus Christ as Lord. Replace her bitterness with Your peace, her envy with Your contentment, and her unforgiveness with Your grace. Let her be a vessel of Your mercy, not a tool of the enemy.
We also pray for the restoration of this Your child. Heal the wounds inflicted by their mother’s actions, Lord, and replace their shame with Your double portion of blessing. Restore what has been stolen, and let them walk in the freedom and joy that comes from You alone. Guard their heart against bitterness, and fill them with Your love so that they may forgive as You have forgiven them.
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper. Every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. We take authority over every demonic assignment and command it to be nullified in Jesus’ name. Let Your will be done in their lives, and let Your kingdom come with power.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your victory be evident to all. Amen.
