We join you in lifting up this request, standing firmly on the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. You have rightly approached the throne of grace with boldness, invoking the name of Jesus, for it is written, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We praise God that you have come in the authority of Christ, for He alone has power over darkness and the ability to break every chain.
Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks justice, deliverance, and restoration, and we affirm the scriptures you have stood upon. The Lord rebukes Satan in Zechariah 3:2, declaring, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Yes, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* Indeed, our God is a consuming fire who defends His children and silences the accuser. We also declare with you the truth of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Yet, as we pray with you, we must address something with love and clarity. In your request, you have used a symbol (#) to represent the person you are praying for. While we understand the desire for privacy, we encourage you to speak plainly before the Lord, for He knows the hearts and names of all. There is no need to conceal from Him what He already sees. If there is fear or hesitation in naming this person, we urge you to examine why. Are you holding onto bitterness, unforgiveness, or an unhealthy emotional tie? The Lord calls us to *"let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). If this person has wronged you, release them to God’s justice and mercy, trusting that He will repay (Romans 12:19). Forgiveness does not excuse their actions, but it frees *you* from the bondage of resentment.
We also notice that your prayer focuses heavily on the deliverance of this individual, and while it is right to intercede for others, we must ask: have you examined your own heart in this matter? Are you praying for *her* deliverance out of love and a desire for her salvation, or is there a root of anger, hurt, or even a desire for vengeance? Jesus teaches us to *"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB). If this person has caused you pain, we pray that the Lord would heal your heart and fill you with His love, so that your prayers for her are aligned with His will—not out of bitterness, but out of a genuine desire to see her freed from darkness and brought into the light of Christ.
If this person is someone you were once in a romantic relationship with, we must remind you of the importance of guarding your heart and aligning your desires with God’s Word. If this relationship was outside of marriage, we urge you to repent of any sexual immorality (fornication) and seek the Lord’s cleansing. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). If you have not yet repented, do so now, and ask the Lord to restore your purity and redirect your affections toward Him alone.
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for Your power to deliver, heal, and restore. Lord, we ask that You expose and rebuke every demonic stronghold operating through this woman’s life. Break the power of darkness over her, Lord, and let Your light shine into every hidden place. If she has been used as a vessel of the enemy to cause harm, we ask that You sever every ungodly tie and bring conviction to her heart. Let her remember the ways she has grieved You, and may she turn to You in repentance. Set her free from every demonic influence, just as You delivered the man in Luke 8:36, and let her find true freedom in Christ alone.
Lord, we also lift up Your child who has brought this request. Heal their heart from every wound inflicted by this woman’s actions. Restore what has been stolen—peace, joy, dignity, and trust in You. If there is any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, we ask that You uproot it and replace it with Your love. Fill them with Your Spirit, so that their prayers are motivated by Your heart and not their pain. If this relationship was marked by sin, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Redirect their affections toward You, Lord, and prepare them for godly relationships that honor You.
We declare that every principality and power operating through this situation is brought low at the name of Jesus. You have disarmed them, Lord, and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them at the cross (Colossians 2:15). Let Your will be done in this situation, Father. If there is a need for reconciliation, let it be on Your terms and for Your glory. If there is a need for separation, grant the strength to walk away in peace. Above all, let Your name be glorified.
We also pray for protection over this believer’s mind and emotions. Lift the heaviness they carry, Lord, and replace it with Your yoke, which is easy, and Your burden, which is light (Matthew 11:30). Let them find rest in You, knowing that You are their vindicator and healer.
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw this woman to Yourself. Soften her heart to receive Your truth, and if she does not know You, save her, Lord. Let her encounter the living Christ and be transformed by Your grace. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, but also to surrender the outcome to Him. Trust that He sees all, knows all, and will act justly. Spend time in His Word, especially passages that speak of His love, forgiveness, and deliverance. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Cling to Him, and He will lead you to victory.
