Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you together in the name of Jesus and thank our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son who suffered for all who believe. We praise His holy name with you and we agree that He hears our prayers when we come together in one accord, for Jesus said in Matthew 18:19 that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven.

We are encouraged by your intercession for this man who rented his flat to you. You rightly remember that the Lord knows the plans He has for us, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, and that His thoughts are far greater than ours as written in Isaiah 55:8-9. We lift him up with you and ask the Lord to make His holy plan for his life unmistakably clear and to open his eyes to his true identity in Christ.

Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, and in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are a chosen people in Him. We pray with you that any false identity he has adopted through sinful relationships and activities will be exposed by the light of the gospel. When we stray from the narrow path to follow our own desires we walk toward destruction, for Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 that narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. We ask the Father to break his stony heart and give him a new heart and a new spirit as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, and to give him courage to follow that narrow way, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7.

We also agree with you concerning ungodly influences, including those in his household, and the evil woman in his life. The Word warns us plainly in 1 Corinthians 15:33 that evil companionships corrupt good morals and in 2 Corinthians 6:14 not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and in 2 Corinthians 6:17 to come out from among them and be separate. We pray that the Lord will separate him from every controlling, hateful and sinful entanglement where he is being blackmailed and where even his life may be in danger. If this relationship involves sexual immorality outside of marriage, we must speak the truth in love that such fornication or adultery is sin before God, for the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord in 1 Corinthians 6:18, and we are commanded to flee sexual immorality. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman to reflect Christ and the church, and any courtship should be with the goal of a godly marriage to another believer in Christ, not a sinful liaison that brings bondage and danger. The evil woman described in Proverbs 5:3-5 leads down to death, and we pray he will have understanding to depart from evil and to fear the holy name of the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom in Proverbs 9:10.

We rebuke the deception of the enemy that has blinded his eyes and the power of sin that has hardened his heart, and we stand on the promise that if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed in John 8:36, and that we are to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us in James 4:7.

So we pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin. We bring this man before Your throne of grace and ask You to open his eyes, soften his heart, and give him ears to hear Your voice. Break the stony heart and give him a heart of flesh that fears Your holy name and hates evil. Reveal to him the depth of Your love and the emptiness and danger of the sinful relationships he has entered into. Deliver him from every ungodly influence and from the control and blackmail of the evil woman and any others who would harm him. Protect his life from danger and set him on the narrow path that leads to life. Grant him repentance and faith to turn from fornication and every sin and to walk in newness of life as a new creation in Christ. Surround him with godly counsel and believers who will speak truth, and if it is Your will for him to marry, lead him to a godly wife who loves You, that his marriage may honor You. We ask that You give our brother and sister who is interceding continued boldness and love to pray and to speak truth with grace. We ask all this in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12, amen.

We are grateful you brought this man before the Lord with such care. You are asking for his safety and for him to be able to hear God clearly and walk in freedom, and we join you in that burden.

It is good that you are interceding rather than trying to carry this alone. When there is control, blackmail, or fear for someone's safety in a household, one person cannot shift it by prayer alone from a distance. A helpful next step is to keep healthy boundaries as a former tenant and not try to intervene directly with those in his household. If you have ongoing contact or concern for his safety, share it with a trusted pastor or counselor in your area who can walk with you, help you discern what is safe, and point to local support resources if needed.

We also hear how much you want his heart to soften and for him to find a truer foundation. Change is often a process of turning in a new direction over time, not a single moment, and your steady prayers matter in that.

Father, we lift this man to you and ask for your protection over his life. Give him clarity, courage, and a safe way to step away from harm and from influences that bind him. Draw him to your love and help him know who he is in Christ. Give our friend wisdom to love him well while trusting you with what only you can do. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join our hearts with yours in this prayer and give thanks with you for the cross where the holy Son of God suffered for all who believe. There is great hope in that one truth, for to look to Christ is to trust in His one great sacrifice, and when the soul looks to what Christ has done and not to forms or feelings or works, the word goes forth, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, and the soul is delivered.

We bring this man before the Lord with you, asking that God who opens the ears of men and seals their instruction that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man, would graciously open his eyes. We pray that he may see his true identity in Christ and turn from every false identity which sin engenders, for sin at first catches with a spider's cobweb scarcely seen, and then engenders a second nature until it holds the soul in darkness. We pray that He who has delivered us from the power of darkness would deliver him also, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for both.

We do not ask the Lord to bless what He calls sin, for Jesus never came to save us in our sins but to save us from our sins, and wherever He takes away the guilt of sin He also kills the love of it. So we pray that this man may come to hate sin as sin and to loathe it and leave it, not with a transient sorrow that returns to sin again, but with a godly repentance that looks to Christ crucified and trusts His blood. May the Lord break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, and keep him from sin which hardens the conscience and brings much sorrow in later life.

We pray with you that the Lord in His careful providence would separate him from ungodly influences and from every entangling and hateful yoke where he is controlled or in danger, and would set him in the path of Christian association and truth where he may be kept from sin. We ask that he may fear the holy name of the Lord and depart from evil, and find that to be kept from sin is itself a great mercy which preserves from many evils.

May he be brought to say from experience, He has delivered us, and may he know that sitting upon the dunghill of his sin, yet trusting in Jesus, he shall be lifted up. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly, and He was made sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. We pray that this man may look and live, and leap in joyful liberty as he beholds sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all those who will only trust Him.

We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation, and we ask that you also may be comforted as you wait upon the Lord, for He deals with His people not in anger but from His dear covenant love, and He will not pour out a drop too little or too much. Amen.
