Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree with you in the name of Jesus that our God hears when we agree together. Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them. Matthew 18:19-20

We lift up this man, your former landlord, before the Lord and we praise God for your burden to intercede for him. We see your heart to see him come into his true identity in Christ and to walk the narrow path, and we stand with you for his deliverance. Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! Few are those who find it. Matthew 7:13-14 The Lord knows the plans He has for him, and His thoughts are far greater than ours, and He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

We must speak clearly about the sin you have discerned. When a man or woman enters into sexual relationships outside of the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, Scripture calls it fornication and if involving a married person, adultery, and it is sin against God and against his own body. Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Any identity built on such sinful relationships or activities is a false identity. The enemy uses control, blackmail, manipulation and fear to keep souls bound, but Jesus came to set the captives free. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

We pray together for him now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed for us. Lord, You know this man, You know his household and every ungodly influence surrounding him, and You know the evil and hateful relationships that have entangled him where he is controlled and even blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. Father, we ask You to open his eyes to see the unmistakable truth about who he is in Christ, to expose the false identity he adopted when he strayed from Your narrow path and followed his own desires. I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 Lord, break his stony heart and soften it for Your glory, give him courage to turn and follow You, and grant him understanding to fear Your holy name. Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7 We ask You to separate him from every evil influence, including those in his household, and from the evil woman in his life, and to sever every ungodly soul tie and chain of manipulation. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 We pray that You will surround him with godly counsel, protect him physically and spiritually from all harm and blackmail, and lead him to repentance and to walk in holiness. If it is Your will for him, lead him in Your time to a godly marriage that honors You, a lifelong commitment rooted in Christ. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 Let him come to know the depth of Your love that casts out fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 We ask all these things in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for him with prayer and fasting as the Lord leads, speaking truth in love and not growing weary. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 Pray that the Lord will place true believers around him who will disciple him and that he will hunger for the Word. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He is able to deliver completely those who call upon the name of Jesus. We join our faith with yours that this man will depart from evil, hear the voice of the Shepherd, and follow the narrow path that leads to life.

We hear how deeply you care for your former landlord and how faithfully you are bringing him before the Lord. It is a loving thing to intercede for someone when you see him caught in harmful patterns and influences, and especially when you sense he may not be safe.

What you named about identity really matters. When a person builds his sense of self around relationships or desires that pull him away from God, that foundation shakes easily. Lasting steadiness comes as he comes to know who he is in Christ and learns to live before God alone. And deliverance is not something we can force for another person. It is Jesus himself who sets free as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit and keep inviting Him to work.

You cannot make his choices for him, and you do not have to carry the weight of rescuing him. A steady way forward is to keep entrusting him to Jesus in prayer, keep appropriate boundaries around your own life, and stay rooted in fellowship with mature believers who can support you as you pray.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know him, You love him, and You see where he is controlled and in danger. Draw him to Yourself, give him clarity about who he is in Christ, soften his heart toward You, and lead him away from what harms him. Keep him safe, grant him courage to seek help and wisdom for each next step, and give our friend peace as he trusts You with this. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer before the Lord is heard, and we join you in bringing this man before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

We rejoice that you begin where all true prayer must begin, at the cross, where He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. There is no other way of salvation, for when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. It is to that one great sacrifice we must look, not to forms or feelings or works, but to what Christ has done. To look to Christ is to trust in His finished work, believing that the dying Christ can blot out all that mass of sin.

You ask rightly that the Lord would open this man's eyes. Well do we remember when we walked in the darkness of our sin, caught at first as if by tiny cobwebs that could scarcely be seen, until sin engendered a second nature and held us fast. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. As it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. We pray that He will do the same for this man, that in the night watches or in quiet meditation the Lord would open the ears of men and seal their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man.

We pray that God would grant him not a transient repentance which lasts only while the bitter fruit of sin is smarting, and then returns to sin with greater gusto, but that godly repentance which hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart. True repentance has one eye upon sin and the other upon the cross. It sorrows for sin and hates it, yet it does not keep the soul from believing in Christ, but rejoices in Jesus crucified and trusts Him as the propitiation for sin. May the Lord break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that he may see the mischief of loving the world and the things thereof, and be taught to loathe that which once enticed him.

We ask the Lord to show him the clear truth of who he is before God, and who he may become in Christ. Apart from Christ we are without hope, but in Christ the believer is seen without sin, clothed in His righteousness. May he be brought to fear the holy name of the Lord, to depart from evil, and to walk in the narrow path which leads to life. We pray that the Lord in His mercy would separate him from ungodly influences that ensnare him, and from every relationship that is outside the holy covenant of marriage as God ordained it, one man and one woman for life, where alone such union belongs. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but to deliver from it, for when Christ was bound, His people were set free, and when He was made sin for us, we were made free indeed.

We pray also for his safety, for the Lord scourges His children but does not slay them, and He is able to keep and to deliver from the pit. May the word go forth over him, Deliver him from going down to the pit, and may he look and live, leaping in joyful liberty as he beholds sin punished upon the great Substitute.

Continue to pray and to walk by faith, with repentance as your daily companion. Trust not in your prayer itself, but in Christ alone who hears when we agree in His name. May the Lord give you steadfastness and give this man repentance that needs not to be repented of, and faith that lays hold of Christ.

In Jesus powerful name we ask these things, amen.
