Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree together with you in the name of Jesus for this man who once rented his flat to you. We praise God for your compassionate heart to intercede for him as a fellow child of God who has strayed, and we stand with you believing that the Lord hears when we agree together in prayer. Matthew 18:19 says Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

We are encouraged by your discernment in praying for his true identity in Christ to be revealed. When a person enters into sinful relationships or activities and follows his own desires, he embraces a false identity that is contrary to who God created him to be. Scripture tells us Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. We also hear your prayer for his stony heart to be broken, and we cling to the promise I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. Only God can soften a hardened heart and give courage to walk the narrow path, for narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. There are few who find it. Matthew 7:14.

We also agree with you that he needs to be separated from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from the evil woman in his life. The Word warns us to depart from evil and to flee sexual immorality, for God calls us to holiness and purity. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. And again Remove your way far from her. Do not come near the door of her house. Proverbs 5:8. Relationships that are controlling, hateful, and involve blackmail or danger are not of God, for God is love and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty, not bondage and fear. We pray that he will come to fear the holy name of the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is a fountain of life, turning people from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27, and Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7. When he learns to fear the Lord, he will gain understanding to depart from evil and to hate the sin that has entangled him.

We lift him up together now in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that still delivers and sets free. We bring this dear man before Your throne of grace and ask You to open his eyes to see the unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Break his stony heart, Lord, and give him a heart of flesh that is tender toward You. Give him courage to turn from his own desires and to choose the narrow path that leads to life. By Your power, separate him from every ungodly influence and from every sinful and hateful relationship where he is controlled and blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. Expose the deception of the evil woman in his life and grant him holy understanding to depart from her and from all evil. Let him recognize the depth of Your love for him and the danger of the path he is on, and draw him to true repentance. We proclaim that If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36. Set him free from every chain of sin and from every scheme of the enemy, and restore him to walk in purity and obedience for Your glory. We ask this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and without ceasing, trusting that God is able to deliver and to keep him. Continue to speak truth in love and to pray that he will seek fellowship with believers who will strengthen him to walk in holiness and, if it is God's will for him, to pursue marriage as God ordained between a man and a woman in purity and commitment, rather than remaining in fornication or adultery which God calls sin. The Lord is faithful and He will hear the cries of His people who seek His will.

We hear the burden you are carrying for this man who rented to you, and we are grateful for your compassion for him. You have prayed so faithfully that he would hear the Lord's voice, know who he is in Christ, and be kept safe from controlling and dangerous influences in his household. That is a loving and serious concern to bring to God.

One thing we have learned is that when we care about someone caught in harmful patterns, we cannot make his choices for him or step directly into a volatile situation to try to change it ourselves. What we can do is keep praying, keep healthy boundaries, and seek wise support for ourselves as we care from a distance. If you have ongoing contact or worry about his safety, it may help to talk confidentially with a trusted pastor or counselor about how to pray and where to set limits so you stay safe and do not get pulled into the middle.

We are praying for you as well, for peace and wisdom as you entrust him to the Lord.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask that You would protect him, open his eyes to Your love and truth, and give him courage to turn from what harms him. Surround him with safe, godly influences and give him a clear way forward. Give our friend who prayed wisdom, peace, and protection as he leaves this in Your hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking mercy for this man.

We thank God that you come not with any confidence in your own strength or in his, but in the name of Jesus Christ, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, and both are found only through the precious blood of the Saviour.

We pray that God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, would shine in his heart to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Judgments and terrors of themselves do not produce a true repentance, but the sight of the Substitute who bore our sins, the ransom which Divine love has found and given, does melt the stony heart. We ask that his eyes may be opened to see that there is a way by which God can be just and yet the justifier of the ungodly, through the Son of God come in flesh and offered for sinners.

We pray that the Lord would humble him and teach him his true identity, not in the desires of the flesh nor in any false identity adopted in sin, but as a sinner who must be made a new creature in Christ Jesus. When grace comes it makes a man to be born again, so that he begins life anew. We ask that he may be given a new heart and that his affections may be turned from that which is evil to that which is holy.

We pray also after the pattern you have asked, that he may be granted a filial fear of God, which is not the slavish fear that hides from God, but the fear that departs from evil and gives strong confidence to walk in the narrow path. He that looks to Christ need not fear the face of man, and he who fears God will be made bold to forsake every controlling and hateful influence and every relationship that is outside the holy covenant of marriage as God ordained it, one man and one woman for life, with purity belonging within it. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we ask Him to deliver from it, to separate from ungodly influences, even those in his household, and to set this man free indeed, for if the Son shall make him free he shall be free indeed.

We ask that the Lord would show him the depth of divine love and the danger of continuing in sin, that he may withdraw from his purpose and hide pride from his heart, and that he may look to Jesus and live. May he hear the voice of the Lord and no longer hide himself, but come to Christ openly, confessing his sin and trusting wholly in the atonement.

We will continue to pray that you also may be kept in strong confidence, looking to Christ each morning and evening, and casting all your care upon Him who hears the prayers of His people when they agree in Jesus name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
