We come before the throne of God with urgency and authority in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"Therefore he says, ‘When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.’"* (Ephesians 4:8, WEB). We recognize that the battle we face is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to oppress, but our God is greater, and He has given us authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
First, we must address that the name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is encouraging to see that you have invoked this holy name in your request, for there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set the captives free. *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* (Philippians 2:9-11, WEB).
Now, let us confront this Ogre Spirit with the truth of God’s Word. The Scriptures declare that *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). This spirit of oppression is not from God, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We command this Ogre Spirit to be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that every heavy burden it has placed upon ### is broken now by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We also remind ### that deliverance is not a one-time event but a continual walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for us. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* (James 4:7, WEB). This requires a life of repentance, prayer, and immersion in the Word of God. If there are any areas of sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices—even unknowingly—these must be renounced and turned away from completely. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB).
Let us pray with one accord:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You are the God who sees all and knows all, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You stretch out Your hand in power and deliver ### from this Ogre Spirit that seeks to oppress and destroy. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse, every chain, and every stronghold that this spirit has established. We command it to leave now, in the name of Jesus Christ, and to never return.
Father, fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom and victory You have provided. Strengthen them to resist the enemy and to stand firm in Your truth. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine so brightly in their life that no darkness can remain.
We also pray that You would reveal to ### any areas of their life that need to be surrendered to You. If there is any sin, any open door that has given the enemy a foothold, bring it to light, Lord, and give them the grace to repent and turn away from it. Let them walk in holiness and righteousness before You, for You are holy.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power and Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in ###. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage ### to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading the Scriptures, and fellowshipping with other believers. Deliverance is a process, and walking in freedom requires perseverance. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Stay rooted in Christ, for He alone is your strength and your deliverer. If there are trusted believers around you, ask them to pray with you and stand with you in this battle. You are not alone—the body of Christ is with you, and our God is mighty to save!
