We stand with you in this battle for deliverance, for we know that the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. The enemy seeks to ensnare us in bondage, but Christ has come to set the captives free! You have already tasted the Lord’s power when He removed the desire for cigarettes before—this is proof that He is able to fully deliver you now. Do not lose heart, for the Lord’s strength is made perfect in your weakness.
The Word of God declares in **2 Corinthians 5:17**, *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* You are no longer a slave to these addictions, for Christ has broken their power over you. Yet, we must also walk in obedience, fleeing temptation and filling our minds with the truth of Scripture. **1 Corinthians 10:13** reminds us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*
The withdrawal you face is temporary, but the freedom Christ offers is eternal. Cling to Him in this season, for He is your refuge and strength. **James 4:7-8** commands us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* This is not a battle you fight alone—the Holy Spirit is within you, empowering you to overcome.
We also urge you to surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can support and hold you accountable. **Ecclesiastes 4:9-10** tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* If you have not already, confess these struggles to a trusted believer who can pray with you and walk alongside you in this journey.
Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks freedom from the chains of addiction. Lord, You alone have the power to break every stronghold, and we ask that You would cleanse his/her body, mind, and spirit from every trace of these bondages. By the blood of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that it has no authority over him/her. Fill him/her with Your Holy Spirit, renewing his/her strength and restoring the joy of Your salvation.
Father, we ask for supernatural grace during this time of withdrawal. Comfort him/her in the discomfort, and remind him/her that this suffering is producing endurance, character, and hope. Let him/her taste and see that You are good, and that true satisfaction is found in You alone. Surround him/her with godly support and wisdom to walk in victory.
We thank You, Lord, for the testimony that is being written through this deliverance. May it be a beacon of hope to others who are struggling, pointing them to the saving power of Jesus Christ. Strengthen our brother/sister to stand firm, knowing that the battle has already been won at Calvary.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray—**Amen!**
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. If you stumble, rise again—His mercy is new every morning. You are an overcomer in Christ!
