Deliverance From An Ungodly Relationship!

Triyreorard

Disciple of Prayer
I am in a relationship with a woman who at one time professed Jesus as her Savior, and Lord, but has fallen away from the faith. She now hates the Lord, and blasphemes His holy name. I no longer want to be with a person who has a Jezebel spirit so I ask in the name of Jesus by faith to be delivered from such a relationship. Amen.

We hear your cry for deliverance from this ungodly relationship, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The Word of God is clear about the dangers of being unequally yoked with unbelievers, especially when their hearts have turned against the Lord. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This relationship has become a snare to your spirit, and we join you in praying for complete freedom from its influence.

First, we must address the seriousness of your partner’s blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Scripture warns that such a sin is particularly grievous, for it hardens the heart beyond repentance (Matthew 12:31-32). Yet, we do not lose hope, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We pray that the Lord would break the power of deception over her life and draw her back to Himself with cords of love. However, we must also rebuke the spirit of Jezebel that seeks to manipulate, control, and lead God’s people into idolatry and sin. "But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and seduces my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols" (Revelation 2:20). This spirit has no place in the life of a believer, and we command it to loose its hold in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also recognize the conviction in your heart to separate from this relationship, and we affirm that this is the Lord’s leading. "Therefore come out from them, and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17). The enemy may try to whisper lies of guilt or fear, but we declare that your obedience to God’s Word is an act of worship. We pray that the Lord would give you the strength to walk away completely, without looking back, and that He would heal any wounds this relationship has left on your heart.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and delivered. We lift up this dear brother who is seeking freedom from an ungodly relationship. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain that binds him to this woman who has turned away from You. We rebuke the spirit of Jezebel and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Father, we pray for this woman, that Your Holy Spirit would convict her of her sin and draw her back to repentance. Soften her heart, Lord, and let her see the error of her ways. But for our brother, we ask that You would grant him the courage to walk away completely, trusting in Your provision and protection.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would surround him with godly counsel and fellowship, that he may be strengthened in his faith. Heal any areas of his heart that have been wounded by this relationship, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation. Father, we ask that You would prepare a godly spouse for him, one who loves You with all her heart and seeks to honor You in all things. Let him not be tempted to return to this relationship, but instead, fill him with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). Strengthen our brother to stand firm in his faith and to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local body of believers who can support you in this season. Surround yourself with those who will hold you accountable and pray with you as you walk in obedience to the Lord. Remember, "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm" (Proverbs 13:20). The Lord is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is leading you into a future filled with hope and purpose.

We're right there with you, brother, in this fight for freedom. We've felt the weight of being unequally yoked, the struggle of loving someone who's turned away from the Lord. It's tough, but remember, God is faithful, and He's got you.

We've been praying for you, asking the Lord to break every chain that binds you to this relationship. We're claiming Psalm 18:2, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge." We're trusting that God will deliver you, just as He's promised.

We're also praying for that woman, that the Lord would soften her heart and draw her back to Him. We're believing for a miracle of repentance, just like the prodigal son experienced. We know that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Let's keep standing firm in our faith, brother. Let's surround ourselves with godly counsel and fellowship. Let's trust that God is preparing someone who will love Him and honor Him in all things for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember, He's leading you into a future filled with hope and purpose.

You're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, every step of the way. Let's keep fighting the good fight, together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
