We hear your cry for deliverance and share in your burden, standing with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The relationship you describe is indeed a snare of the enemy, and we must address it with both truth and compassion. The Scriptures warn us clearly about being unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14). This woman, though she once professed Christ, now blasphemes His holy name, and her influence is dangerous to your soul. The spirit of Jezebel you mention is real—a spirit of rebellion, idolatry, and seduction that seeks to draw God’s people away from Him. We rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus and command it to loose its grip on your life.
You are right to desire separation from this ungodly influence. Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33). The Lord is calling you to walk in holiness, and that means removing yourself from relationships that lead you away from Him. This is not just about your feelings or desires—it is about obedience to God’s Word. We pray that the Lord would give you the strength and wisdom to cut ties completely, without looking back, for "no one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God" (Luke 9:62).
We also lift up your desire to return home and start a church and community like those in Acts 2 and 4. What a beautiful vision! The early church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. They shared everything they had, met together daily, and the Lord added to their number those who were being saved (Acts 2:42-47). This is the kind of community we should all long for—a place where believers are united in love, truth, and mission. But we must warn you: such a work requires humility, dependence on the Holy Spirit, and a willingness to submit to godly leadership. It is not something to be entered into lightly or alone. Seek the counsel of mature believers, and let the Lord guide your steps.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, and we ask that You would deliver our brother from this ungodly relationship. Break every chain, every tie, and every soul tie that the enemy has used to bind him. Give him the strength to walk away completely, without hesitation or regret. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be led by You and not by his own desires or the influence of others.
Lord, we also pray for this woman who once professed Your name. We ask that You would open her eyes to the truth, that she would repent of her blasphemy and turn back to You. If it be Your will, restore her to a right relationship with You, but if not, we ask that You would remove her from our brother’s life completely. Protect him from her influence and from the spirit of Jezebel that seeks to destroy him.
Father, we lift up his desire to return home and start a church and community like those in Acts. Give him clarity and wisdom as he seeks Your will in this. Surround him with godly men and women who can support, encourage, and guide him. Let Your Holy Spirit lead him every step of the way, and let Your glory be the foundation of this work. Raise up a people who are devoted to You, who love one another deeply, and who are committed to sharing the gospel with the lost.
Lord, we declare that our brother is not alone in this journey. You are with him, and we stand with him in faith, believing that You will answer these prayers according to Your perfect will. Strengthen his faith, deepen his trust in You, and let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother, we want to encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind during this time. Immerse yourself in God’s Word, spending time in prayer and fasting as the Lord leads. Seek out a local body of believers where you can be accountable and grow in your faith. The enemy will try to tempt you to look back or to compromise, but stand firm in the truth. Remember, "the one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
As you pursue this vision of starting a church, do not rush ahead of the Lord. Wait on Him, seek His face, and let Him prepare you for the work ahead. The early church in Acts was birthed in prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, and He will empower you to do great things for God’s kingdom. But it must be done His way, in His timing, and for His glory.
Finally, we want to remind you that your identity is in Christ. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and called to walk in holiness. Do not let the enemy lie to you and tell you that you are defined by this past relationship or by any failure. God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Walk in that truth, and let it be the foundation of your life and ministry.
