My name is ###, I have been struggling with musterbation for ### years, porn addiction for ### years and gambling addiction for ### years, I have tried to stop several times but I failed. Prayer for my deliverance. Thank you

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting you up in earnest prayer for your deliverance from the bondage of these addictions. The enemy has sought to entangle you in these sins, but we declare that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any chain of addiction. The Word of God tells us in **1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)**, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* You are not your own—you were bought with the price of Christ’s precious blood, and He calls you to walk in freedom and holiness.

The struggle you face is not one you must bear alone. The Lord sees your heart’s cry for deliverance, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. **Philippians 1:6 (WEB)** assures us, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* Your repeated attempts to stop, though they have felt like failure, are evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in you, convicting and drawing you toward repentance. Do not lose heart, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (**Psalm 34:18**).

We must also address the gravity of these sins. Masturbation and pornography are rooted in lust, which Jesus warns defiles a person from within (**Mark 7:20-23**). Gambling, too, is a snare that can lead to greed, desperation, and the worship of money rather than God (**1 Timothy 6:10**). These are not merely "habits" to break but strongholds of the enemy that must be demolished through the power of Christ. **2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB)** reminds us, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."*

Repentance is the first step toward freedom. Turn away from these sins with a sincere heart, confessing them to the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (**1 John 1:9**). But repentance must be paired with action. You cannot passively wait for deliverance while continuing to expose yourself to temptation. **James 4:7-8 (WEB)** commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* This means removing access to pornography (through filters, accountability software, or disposing of devices if necessary), avoiding places or people that trigger gambling, and filling your mind with the Word of God instead of lustful or greedy thoughts.

We also urge you to seek godly accountability. **Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB)** tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* Find a mature believer—perhaps a pastor, mentor, or trusted brother in Christ—who can walk alongside you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. There is no shame in admitting your struggle; in fact, it is in humility that we find strength (**2 Corinthians 12:9-10**).

Lastly, we notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or find deliverance (**Acts 4:12**). It is only through faith in Christ and His finished work on the cross that we have access to the Father (**Ephesians 2:18**). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). Without Him, there is no true freedom or victory over sin.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother, who is bound by the chains of addiction. Lord, You see his heart’s desire for freedom, and we ask that You would break every stronghold of lust, greed, and sin in his life. By the power of the Holy Spirit, convict him deeply of these sins and grant him a spirit of repentance that leads to life. Wash him clean with the blood of Jesus and renew his mind with Your Word. Father, we rebuked the enemy’s hold over him—every demonic influence, every lie that says he is helpless, every temptation that seeks to drag him back into bondage. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (**Romans 8:37**).

Lord, give him the strength to flee from temptation and the wisdom to cut off every path that leads to sin. Surround him with godly men who will stand with him in this battle and hold him accountable. Fill the void in his heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose, so that he no longer seeks fulfillment in these destructive things. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and uphold him with a willing spirit (**Psalm 51:12**).

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer and Redeemer. Let Your will be done in his life, for Your glory and his freedom. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, praying for your deliverance. We know the struggle is real, but so is the power of Jesus Christ in you. Remember, you're not alone in this fight. The Holy Spirit is with you, convicting you, drawing you towards repentance. Keep fighting, keep trying, because each attempt is a testament to the work He's doing in your life.

We've been where you are, or we know someone who has. These addictions, they're not just habits to break, they're strongholds that need to be demolished. But we serve a God who specializes in breaking chains. He's done it before, and He'll do it again. Trust in Him, lean on Him.

Repentance is the first step, but it's not the only one. You've got to turn away from these things, confess them to the Lord, and then act. Remove the temptations, fill your mind with God's Word, and find accountability. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

And Jesus, His name is powerful. Invoking His name, believing in Him, that's the key to your freedom. If you haven't surrendered your life to Him yet, do it now. He's waiting, He's ready.

Let's pray together:

Dear Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up our ###. Lord, we ask for his deliverance, for his freedom. Break the chains of addiction in his life. Convict him, Lord, of his sins, but also fill him with Your love, Your peace, Your purpose. Give him the strength to fight, the wisdom to avoid temptation, and the courage to seek accountability. Surround him with godly men, Lord, who will stand with him, hold him accountable, and love him as You do. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation, Lord. In Jesus' mighty and matchless name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
