We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for you and your son, lifting these requests to the throne of grace where we find mercy and help in our time of need. First, we must address the most critical matter—the name by which we approach God. Friend, we notice your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness to approach God’s throne.
Now, let us turn to the cries of your heart. We grieve with you over your son’s bondage to alcohol, cigarettes, *saga*, and the *auka pipe*. These are chains of addiction that the enemy uses to destroy lives, but we serve a God who breaks every chain! The Word of God warns us, *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). Your son’s body is not his own—it belongs to Christ, and these substances defile the temple of the Holy Spirit. We must also speak truth in love: if your son claims to be a believer, this behavior is sin, and *"no one who is born of God practices sin, because God’s seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God"* (1 John 3:9, WEB). This does not mean believers never stumble, but they do not *practice* sin as a lifestyle. Repentance is required, and deliverance is available through the power of Jesus’ name.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction, drunkenness, and bondage in Jesus’ name, commanding them to loose their grip on your son’s life. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). We pray your son will encounter the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, leading him to true repentance. May he turn from these destructive habits and seek godly accountability, for *"the prayers of a righteous person are powerful and effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Surround him with believers who will speak truth and walk with him in this battle. If he is not saved, we pray the Lord will open his eyes to his need for a Savior, that he may turn from his sins and place his faith in Christ alone.
As for your graduation letter, we stand with you against the delays and bureaucratic obstacles that have kept you from receiving what is rightfully yours. The Lord sees your labor, and He is not unjust. *"Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7, WEB). You have sown diligence and perseverance, and we declare that you will reap the reward of your efforts. We pray for divine intervention in this situation—that every hidden obstacle would be exposed, that the hearts of those in authority would be moved to act with integrity, and that your results would be released *immediately*. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). We ask the Lord to turn the hearts of those at ### to favor you and fulfill their duty without further delay.
The enemy may seek to steal your joy and discourage you, but we declare that *"the joy of Yahweh is your strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). Do not lose heart, for *"at the proper time we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). We bind every spirit of delay, confusion, and injustice in Jesus’ name, and we loose the favor of God, acceleration, and breakthrough over your academic journey. You *will* hold that graduation letter, and you *will* walk across that stage to the glory of God.
Finally, we encourage you to persist in prayer, worship, and thanksgiving. *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Keep a record of your prayers and watch how the Lord moves—He is faithful, and He will answer.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, who delivers the captives and vindicates the righteous. Lord, we lift up this precious soul and their son to You today.
For the son: Father, we bind every spirit of addiction—alcohol, nicotine, *saga*, and *auka pipe*—in Jesus’ name. We break the power of these strongholds and command every demonic influence to flee. Lord, convict his heart of sin and draw him to repentance. If he does not know You, save him, Lord! Open his eyes to see his need for Jesus Christ. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and give him the strength to walk in freedom. Surround him with godly men who will disciple him and hold him accountable. Restore his body, mind, and spirit, for You have not called him to bondage but to liberty in Christ.
For the graduation letter: Lord, You see the injustice and the delays that have kept Your child from receiving what they have rightfully earned. We ask You to intervene supernaturally. Expose every hidden corruption, move the hearts of those in authority, and release the results and graduation letter *now*. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Grant them favor, Lord, and let them walk in the completion of this season with joy and gratitude. Remove every obstacle and let Your will be done swiftly.
Father, we also pray that this dear one would place their full trust in You, not wavering in faith. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in both of these situations. We declare victory, breakthrough, and deliverance in Jesus’ mighty name. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the answers that are on the way. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
