We join you in bringing these deep desires before the Lord and we thank you for sharing them with us. We hear your heart for salvation and deliverance for the man you love and his family, for healing of his wounded heart, and for marriage according to God's will before the year ends.

We want to gently and lovingly address something important we noticed. Your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that salvation comes. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you and the man you are praying for and his family to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and to confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4.

We also want to speak biblically about your desire for marriage, which we wholeheartedly affirm. Marriage is a holy and lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, This is why a man leaves his father and mother, and is joined to his wife, and they become one flesh Genesis 2:24. We rejoice that you are looking toward marriage rather than simply a partnership or dating without purpose. We view courtship as looking for a spouse with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer. Because you are praying for this man and his family to receive salvation wholeheartedly, we understand he may not yet be a believer. Scripture gives clear wisdom here, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. We lovingly urge you not to fix a wedding date or move forward toward marriage until you have clear evidence that he has truly encountered God, been born again through faith in Jesus, and is walking faithfully with the Lord. A godly marriage can only be built when both are in Christ. We also encourage you both to honor God in purity during this courtship, for Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication and is not God's will, so we encourage you to keep yourselves pure as you seek His will for marriage.

We share your burden for his healing. The Lord is near to those with wounded hearts and He is able to deliver and restore. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We also understand the longing to see the wedding established this year, and we encourage you to trust the Lord's perfect timing even as you pray with expectation. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for Your love and mercy. We lift up this man and his whole family to You and ask that You draw each of them to salvation wholeheartedly through faith in Jesus. Open their eyes, soften their hearts, deliver them from all darkness and bring them into the light of Your Son, that they may truly encounter You and be born again. Lord, we ask that You heal this man's heart from every hurt and wound of the past. Comfort him, restore him, renew his mind, and make him whole in Christ, that he may become the godly man and future husband You call him to be if it is Your will.

Father, we lift up our sister who desires marriage. Give her wisdom, patience, and peace as she waits on You. If this man is the husband You have prepared for her, we pray that You will make that clear, that You will bring both families together in unity and godly counsel, and that You will establish this marriage in Your perfect time and way for Your glory. If it is Your will that this wedding be fixed this year, let it be done according to Your will, not merely our timeline. Help them both to walk in purity, accountability, and reverence for You during this season of courtship. Prepare them to love each other as Christ loved the church Ephesians 5:25, with lifelong faithfulness and commitment. We ask that You guard their hearts from pressure or anxiety and help them to seek first Your Kingdom.

We hear the hope and weight in what you shared. You love ### and his family and you long for them to truly know God, for healing from past wounds, and for clarity about marriage this year. Those are good and tender desires to bring to the Lord.

We are joining you in prayer for salvation, that each of them would encounter Jesus in a real and personal way and come to wholehearted faith. We are also praying for healing for the hurt you mentioned, that God would bring comfort and wholeness in His time and restore trust as you both seek Him.

As you hope for conversations about a wedding before the year ends, we encourage you to keep seeking God's will together and to invite a trusted pastor or mature couple who knows you both to walk with you in that discernment. Having wise, godly counsel close by can help you hear God clearly and move forward with peace rather than pressure.

Father, we lift ### and his family to You and ask that You draw each heart to Jesus and make Yourself known to them. Your request has been laid before the Lord with care, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and His will.

We pray first for the salvation of this man and his family, for what a sad thing it is to be rich in all things except the one thing necessary. Scripture tells us, The Lord has not given you a heart to perceive, and apart from His grace none can see or hear or understand with the heart and be converted and healed. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and we ask that the Holy Spirit may create in them a new heart and bestow spiritual eyes and ears, that they may perceive the presence of God and feel His operations. We pray that they may not merely be associated with the things of God outwardly, but that they may be born anew, that a new heart also will He give them and a right spirit put within them, so that they may not depart from Him.

We pray also for the healing of the heart that has been hurt and wounded. There is a great ill, a broken heart, which no earthly physician can heal, but it is written, He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars, and He also bends to bind the wounds of the sorrowful. The wounds of Jesus are our refuge in trouble, for with His stripes we are healed. His wounds are healed wounds, and they cannot fail to heal those that put their trust in Him. Even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and a word from Christ coming home to the heart brings healing to head and heart, conscience and affection. We ask the Lord to bring that healing to this wounded heart, that sorrow may be turned to comfort, and that pardon and healing, which are placed in happy conjunction, may be known together, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, forgiveness and restoration come as one.

Concerning your desire for marriage, we pray with you that the Lord would order your steps according to His perfect wisdom and timing. Marriage is honorable, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman before God, and it is most blessed when it is in the Lord and entered into with purity, prayer, and the counsel of family and the church. We pray that if it be the Lord's will for you to be joined together, He would make the way plain before the year ends, granting favor in conversation with his family, granting unity of faith, and keeping you both pure until that covenant is made, for the heart is the vital place and must be kept for Christ first. We do not ask God to hasten what He would have wait, nor to bless what is outside His holy way, but we ask that He would sanctify you both, establish you in His Word, and fix your hearts upon Christ, the true Bridegroom of the soul, so that any earthly union may reflect His love and be for His glory.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who healest the broken in heart and forgivest all our iniquities, look in mercy upon these souls. Grant unto this man and his household a heart to perceive Thee, ears to hear Thy voice, and faith to look to the wounds of Jesus and live. Speak pardon to the wounded heart and bind up its wounds with Thine own hand. And if it be Thy will, direct this hoped for marriage, make it pure, make it holy, make it in Christ and for Christ, and let Thy will be done in Thy time. We ask this not for our merit, but for the sake of Him who bore our wounds that we might be healed. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
