Psalm 35:11 :
Ruthless witnesses come forward; they question me on things I know nothing about.

A Prayer for Deliverance from False Accusations:
Our prayer:
"O Heavenly Father, You see our heart, and You know the truth of our situation. False witnesses have risen up against us, accusing us of things we do not know and charging us with things we did not do.

LORD God, when we were good to them, they repaid us with evil. Arise and defend our cause. Vindicate us in Your righteousness. Deliver us from the traps of the enemy, and do not let those who lie gloat over our downfall. Be our strong helper, rescue our soul, and let Your justice shine. In Jesus' name, Amen."

We join you in this prayer for deliverance from false accusations and we stand with you before the throne of grace, for the Lord sees your heart and knows the truth when others do not.

You have quoted Psalm 35:11 well, Ruthless witnesses come forward, they question me on things I know nothing about. This is a pain our Lord Jesus Himself endured, as it is written Matthew 26:59-60 Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death, and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward. He understands the sting of being charged with things you did not do.

The Lord hates lying lips and false witness, for it is written Exodus 20:16 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, and Proverbs 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free. We take comfort that no lie will stand forever before His righteous judgment. Do not let your heart be troubled, for God is your defender and advocate.

We are reminded of Psalm 27:12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out cruelty, and also Psalm 35:19 Do not let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me, neither let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause. And again Psalm 35:24 Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Let them not gloat over me. The Lord will not let those who lie gloat over your downfall, for Isaiah 54:17 says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh.

We also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord, as Romans 12:19 says Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Like Christ, who 1 Peter 2:23 says When he was cursed, did not curse back, when he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously, we entrust your cause to Him who judges justly. He will rescue your soul from the traps of the enemy, for Psalm 124:7 says Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

We pray together with you:

Heavenly Father, You see our hearts and You know the truth of this situation. You know we have been accused of things we know nothing about and charged with things we did not do. Lord, when we have shown good, evil has been repaid to us, and it wounds our soul. Arise, O Lord, and defend our cause. Vindicate us in Your righteousness and let Your justice shine like the noonday. Deliver us from the traps of the enemy and break every snare laid in secret against us. Do not let those who lie gloat over our downfall or rejoice wrongfully over us. Be our strong helper, rescue our soul, silence every false tongue that rises against us in judgment, and let the truth be revealed in Your perfect timing. Guard our hearts from bitterness and help us to commit our way to You and trust You to act. We ask this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Bread of Heaven and Word of Life, who is our righteousness and our defense. Amen.

We hear how painful this is to be accused of things you know nothing about, especially when you have tried to do good toward those now speaking against you. That kind of reversal can leave you feeling trapped and on edge, waiting for the next accusation.

It makes sense you are asking God to be your defender and not let lies have the final word. When false witness rises, the pressure to answer everyone at once can be overwhelming, and it can be isolating if you try to carry it alone.

One steady thing that can help in this kind of season is to not face it by yourself. Keep a simple, factual record of what has actually happened and been said, with dates, and invite one wise, calm person to walk with you, a pastor or trusted counselor who will listen carefully and help you discern next steps without rushing to confront everyone. Having that clear account and one grounded voice beside you often keeps the trap from tightening and helps truth come to light in a healthier way.

We are holding you before the Lord for protection, clarity, and peace while you wait on Him.

Father, You see our friends and You know what is true here. We ask You to guard them from traps and from the gloating of those who lie, to be their helper and rescuer, and to lead them with wisdom for each conversation and decision ahead. Give them rest for their souls and confidence that You are near and just. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." Isaiah 55:11
"Keep me as the apple of the eye;
Hide me in the shadow of Your wings" (Psalm 17:8)
Praying in agreement with you in Jesus Name Amen.

It is a painful affliction when ruthless witnesses come forward and question you on things you know nothing about, and when those to whom you have shown good repay you with evil. The Lord sees your heart and knows the truth of your situation, and though you might spread your griefs to the pitiless sea and find no comfort, His ear is open and His arm is ready to work deliverance for His people.

Remember that deliverance is of the Lord and is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He does not deal with His children in strict justice to accuse and condemn and punish, for the word to the messengers of justice is, He is gracious unto him. He has found a ransom, even His own Son who went up to the accursed tree and freely gave Himself to die that the justice of God might be vindicated and yet God might be the Justifier of him that believes in Jesus. Therefore there is now nothing punitive in your trouble. There is a great difference between the punishment awarded by justice and the chastisement appointed by love, and the sentence of justice having been fulfilled upon your Lord, what you endure is appointed by love for your good.

He who brought forth Israel and made their deliverance effectual, and brought them forth also with silver and gold, is able to bring you forth. I have known one who stayed at the brook Jabbok and said, Lord, give deliverance from him whom I think bloodthirsty, and crossing full of fear and trembling he met his brother Esau, and he fell upon his neck and kissed him. So the Lord can turn the heart of the adversary and not suffer those who lie to gloat over your downfall. The arrow of the Lord's deliverance still flies on behalf of His people, though He often accomplishes it by human instrumentality.

So we join our hearts with yours in prayer. O Heavenly Father, You see the traps that have been laid and the false tongues that have risen. Arise and defend the cause of Your servants. Vindicate them in Your righteousness. Be their strong helper, rescue their soul from the pit, and let Your justice shine, that the mouth of the liar may be stopped and the enemy may not rejoice over their fall. Grant them to say with Your servant, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Keep them in peace within their borders, deliver them from the power of darkness as well as from the guilt of sin, and bring them to eloquent gratitude, to declare Your name in Zion and Your praise among Your people, through Jesus Christ our only Saviour, in whose name we ask it. Amen.
