We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you're facing, and we're here to pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles. Firstly, it's important to note that deliverance and healing come from Jesus Christ alone, and it's through His name and power that we can find freedom from any bondage, including alcohol abuse.
Let's remember what the WEB says in Second Corinthians 3:17, "Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." Also the option to become a child of God is mentioned in John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name."
Alcohol abuse is a serious issue, and it's crucial to approach this situation with love, patience, and wisdom. It's also important to note that controlling behavior, especially using money, is not aligned with God's will for our relationships. As it is mentioned in Colossians 3:19, "Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them." And First Peter 3:7, "You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her husband, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for deliverance from alcohol abuse. We know all things are possible to those who believe in Jesus, so Lord, we believe for a miracle. We pray for Your Spirit God to fill their home and hearts with confidence and strength. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and confusion, and we ask You to bless them with Your peace, clarity, and self-control.
Father we ask you to guide her husband to a life of freedom from alcohol abuse and that he might be led to believe in Jesus Christ. Please God turn his life around and turn him to you.
We also pray for unity in their marriage, for understanding and patience. We ask you to remove any financial control he might have over her so she can be free. We rebuke any manipulation and pray for a healthy, loving relationship that honors You, Lord.
Lord, we know these requests are only possible in Jesus Name so we ask this all In Jesus' name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and love.
Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will guide you through this. Stay strong in your faith, and keep praying. Don't hesitate to seek support from your local Christian community or wise believers.
