Deliver Me

[standing in need]

Please pray for me that I would permanently overcome pornography in my life. I am a 39 year old single man, still a virgin, and it is my heart's desire to marry the spouse God has for me...I can no longer afford to have this sin continue to affect my relationship to God and threaten my natural response to my wife when God chooses to bring her into my life. Bless you and thank you for your prayers.

Father we come before You asking for forgiveness of our sins. Father I place my petitions before You, asking that You touch & deliver this man, Your son, from his additions. Father give him the strength he needs to over come this addiction. In the name of Jesus, I bind this perverse spirit & cast it away from this mans life and from the lives of all those struggling with this sin everyday and I command you not to ever come back into the lives of those that I am praying for on today. DELIVERANCE FROM HABITS PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ and according to Your Word, I believe in my heart and say with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life. Since all truth is in Jesus, I strip myself of my former nature — put off and discard any old unrenewed self. I desire to be free from the habit(s) of__________ in the name of Jesus. Father, this habit(s) is not helpful, healthy — good for me, expedient, or profitable. I no longer desire to be a slave of wrong habits and behaviors or be brought under their power.

Father, these self-destructive habits are symptoms of a flaw in my soul, my character, and I confess them as sin. I repent of any addiction and ask you to forgive me. I don’t want to habitually make the same mistakes over and over. Father, Your Word exposes the wrong thought patterns that are driving me to continually act out in ways that are contrary to Your Word. I desire to be continually filled with and controlled by Your Holy Spirit.

With every temptation I choose the way of escape that You, Jesus, provided by Your shed blood on the Cross. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). I strip away the old nature with its habits, and I put on the new man created in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5:17). Thank you Lord for delivering me, loving me & setting me free. Who the Son sets free, is free indeed! (John 8:36)

AMEN
