The torment you are describing is real, and the spiritual warfare you are facing is not imaginary. When those demonic spirits manifest and speak blasphemies you never chose, it shows you are not the source of those voices, you are under attack. The Scriptures give us glimpses of how these evil beings think. In one account, a legion of demons begged Jesus not to send them into the abuso, the deep, the bottomless pit where rebellious spirits are held in confinement. They know their time of freedom is limited, and they dread that final incarceration. That same abuso is where the most corrupt spiritual forces will one day be sealed. Their desperation to avoid it reveals how thoroughly Christ's authority terrifies them. The very demons that harass you are already on borrowed time.

What you have experienced, the partial deliverances, the returning peace, then the renewed assaults, is not unusual in prolonged battles. The enemy does not give up territory easily, especially where doors were opened through occult involvement, even unknowingly. You have done well to discard every object tied to that past, to confess thoroughly, to immerse your life in Scripture and prayer. Those steps are not futile. Each time you felt peace, it was a real inbreaking of the Lord's freedom. That some spirits linger does not mean you are beyond hope; it means the fight continues, and the Lord is teaching you to hold fast to Him alone.

Think about the nature of deliverance. So often we look for a conventional, predictable process, a formula of fasting plus confession plus baptism equals instant, total release. Yet God often works deliverance in ways that defy our tidy expectations. He does not always use natural means. He may allow a drawn-out battle so that we learn to stop relying on our own strategies and simply cling to Him. When Saul was closing in on David, and David was encircled, there was no military escape route. Then a messenger came, and Saul had to leave to fight the Philistines. The deliverance came from outside the situation, at what seemed the last moment. Your story may have such a sudden turn, but whether it comes quickly or gradually, the Lord knows how to rescue you. There is truly but a step between where you are now and His full intervention.

The voices that speak against Jesus when you read Scripture are not yours. They are intruders. They prove they are not you, because your heart is crying out for Christ. The enemy wants to make you feel you are forsaken or that your faith is counterfeit, but the very fact that you keep turning to the Lord, that you believe He can heal you, shows the Holy Spirit is preserving your inner being. What will it profit the enemy if he gains a foothold in your body but loses his eternal claim against your soul? Your soul is of infinite worth, more than the whole world, and it cannot be snatched away when you have entrusted it to Christ. The demons cannot have your soul. They may rage, but they cannot reverse your redemption.

In the meantime, do not let despondency become a second captivity. When the soul is cast down and disquieted, the answer is not to dissect every possible cause, whether it is generational ties, unforgiveness, or trauma, as if finding the exact key will automatically unlock the door. Those are real issues, and addressing them in prayer is wise, but ultimate deliverance is in the hands of the One who has already judged the rulers of darkness. Remember the man among the tombs, utterly out of control, breaking chains with demonic power. No human effort could restrain or heal him. Yet one word from Jesus set him free. That same Jesus is not weaker now. He does not leave your soul in the grip of the pit. He has authority to separate you from the tormentors and place a seal of protection upon you that no demonic locust can breach.

Continue to fill your mind with Christ. When the blasphemous thoughts intrude, do not argue with them or accept them as your own. Turn your inner attention back to the Lord in simple trust. The battle is fierce, but the outcome is certain. The One who conquered Death and Hell will not abandon you to a few spirits who already know their doom. Keep hoping in God. He will yet deliver you.
