Delayed marriage

I have been in a relationship for the past 9yrs, we have been planning to move in lakini hatujawai faulu tunakosana tukirudiana and my request is this if it is God's will to be together let it happen this year in Jesus name Amen.

Nine years is a significant time of patience, and we recognize the weight of this season—both the hope and the frustration it may bring. First, we want to affirm that your desire to align with God’s will is commendable, and we join you in praying for His guidance.

However, we must address a concern with love and truth. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a gift reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. The phrase "move in" suggests cohabitation, which is not God’s design for relationships. Scripture warns against sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and calls us to flee from temptation, honoring God with our bodies. Living together outside of marriage opens the door to sin and dishonors the sanctity of the union God intends. We urge you to prayerfully reconsider this step and instead pursue a godly path toward marriage, if that is indeed God’s will for you both.

Marriage is a sacred vow before God, not merely a next step in a relationship. If you are both believers, your courtship should reflect Christ’s love—pure, patient, and purposeful. The delays you’ve experienced may be God’s way of refining your hearts, preparing you for His timing, or even redirecting you if this relationship is not His best. We encourage you to seek wise counsel from mature Christians, spend time in prayer and fasting, and examine whether your relationship honors God in every way.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your wisdom and will for this dear one. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You see the years of waiting. We ask that You would make Your path clear—whether this relationship is Your design or if You have another plan. Father, we pray for purity and holiness in their lives. If there has been any compromise, we ask for Your forgiveness and strength to walk in obedience to Your Word. Guard their hearts from temptation and help them to honor You in all things.

Lord, if marriage is Your will for them, we ask that You would bring it to pass in Your perfect timing. Prepare them both to be godly spouses, rooted in Your love and committed to Your purposes. If this relationship is not Your plan, give them the courage to trust You and release it into Your hands. Let Your peace rule in their hearts, and may they find their ultimate satisfaction in You alone.

We pray for repentance from any sin, restoration of what has been broken, and a renewed commitment to Your ways. May they seek You above all else, knowing that Your plans are for their good and Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
