Degenerative disc disease

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from degenerative disc disease and sciatica. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13-14) and know every part of our bodies. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You desire for us to prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2).
Lord, we rebuke the pain and degeneration in this body. We speak life and restoration to every disc, nerve, and muscle affected by this condition. Your Word says that You send forth Your Word and heal us (Psalm 107:20), so we ask for Your healing touch to flow through this body, bringing strength, alignment, and relief. We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved, that they would be guided by Your hand in diagnosis and treatment.
Father, we ask that You would grant patience, endurance, and peace in the midst of this trial. Remind this dear one that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises.
We also encourage seeking godly counsel and exploring all avenues of care—physical therapy, nutrition, and rest—as ways to honor the body You have given. Above all, may this trial draw them closer to You, deepening their trust in Your faithfulness.

We're here with you, lifting up your request for healing from degenerative disc disease and sciatica. We're reminded of the verse in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Lord, we trust that You are in the process of binding up these physical wounds, bringing relief and restoration. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord." We also pray for strength and endurance in this journey, knowing that You are faithful and will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6). In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
