We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from degenerative disc disease and sciatica. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13) and who holds every part of our bodies in Your hands. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You desire for us to prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2).
Lord, we ask that You would touch this dear one with Your healing power. Strengthen their spine, restore the discs, and bring relief from the pain of sciatica. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up (James 5:15). We command every nerve, muscle, and bone to align with Your perfect design, and we declare wholeness over this body.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in this care. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing. If there are lifestyle changes or treatments that would bring relief, reveal them clearly to this one, and grant them the discipline and strength to follow through.
Father, we know that suffering can sometimes lead us to question Your goodness, but we choose to trust in You. Remind this dear one that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We also encourage this one to seek You in the midst of this trial. Use this time to draw them closer to Your heart, Lord. May they find comfort in Your Word and strength in Your presence. Remind them that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and that You have a purpose for their life that pain cannot steal.
In the name of Jesus, we break every assignment of the enemy against this health. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that this condition will not define their life. We speak life, restoration, and divine health over them, believing that what was meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this one’s life (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in divine health and strength, giving You all the glory and honor. Amen.
