John 1:12 says according to Jesus "But to as many as did receive Him, (Jesus)He gave the authority to become the children of God to those who believe, trust and rely in His name.
Jesus came to set the captive free, and open the prison door of our mind but He must be Lord and saviour of our lives. Accepting Jesus as Lord and saviour of your life and having that covenant relationship with Jesus will bring deliverance, victory, in your life. Those unhealthy and toxic thoughts that make you depress, anxious, Jesus has a solution for that. Jesus is not in the band-aid solution just take care of the symptoms, but He goes to the root, He is in complete deliverance.
Father I pray that Fred, will surrender himself and all that is within him to You, so that You will begin the work in him. Father give him a willing mind, and any hinderances that will hold him back, I bind them in Jesus name. Father send your ministering angels to minister to him and draw him with loving kindness. Father, You love his soul, Jesus died for him, because of Your love for him, so Lord as he begin to surrender bring truth and deliverance, and salvation for his soul. All this I ask in Jesus name
