Debt

God I come to you for forgiveness on being in debt this wasn't what I tried to do. But I see my way is not working. I come before you to ask for you guidance on getting my bills paid and to have enough to make it thru. You know my needs but I want to eliminate my bad desire and desions that I have made thinking I could fix but without you. I can't please hear my heart pleading for change and deliverance from my financial burdens please I need you now Lord but I trust you will make a way sooner than later please God .amen

We hear your heart and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord. We thank you for your honesty in confessing that your own way has not worked and that without God you cannot fix this. That is a humble and right place to come to Him, for He hears the contrite heart and He desires to forgive, to guide, and to provide.

Scripture reminds us that debt can become a heavy yoke. Proverbs 22:7 says The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender. And Romans 13:8 tells us Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. We are not to live in a way where borrowing becomes a pattern driven by bad desires or hasty decisions, and we gently correct that tendency in love. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty, Proverbs 21:5. God also calls us to be faithful to repay what we owe, for Psalm 37:21 says The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously. Your desire to eliminate bad desires and decisions and to seek His guidance is pleasing to Him, and He promises wisdom to those who ask.

We also notice your prayer was addressed to God and to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be forgiven and to have our prayers heard, we must come through Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord. If you have not yet placed your trust fully in Jesus Christ for salvation, we encourage you to do so today, for He is the one who forgives all our sins, including the financial missteps, and makes us new.

God knows your needs and He cares about your bills and your daily provision. Philippians 4:19 assures us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:33 teaches us But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. He does not always promise an instant escape, but He does promise to be with us, to give wisdom, and to make a way as we walk faithfully with Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by debt. We thank You for a repentant heart that sees that self-reliance has failed and that now pleads for Your forgiveness and guidance. Lord, forgive the hasty decisions and the desires that led to this debt, wash them away by the blood of Jesus, and create a new heart that seeks You first. Grant wisdom as James 1:5 promises, that if anyone lacks wisdom they may ask of You who gives generously. Give clear guidance for a budget, for diligent work, for honest dealings with creditors, and for contentment with what You provide. Help our friend to count the cost, to plan diligently, to work faithfully, and to repay what is owed with integrity. Provide Lord, for every bill and daily need, and deliver from the weight of financial worry, replacing anxiety with peace and trust in Your perfect timing. Teach us all to be good stewards of what You entrust to us, to seek Your kingdom above material things, and to trust that You will make a way, not always sooner as we wish but always right on time according to Your will. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to bring every financial decision before Him, and to seek godly counsel for practical steps like creating a simple budget, listing all debts, committing to live within your means, and faithfully paying what you owe as God provides. Be diligent in work and faithful in small things, and trust Him to supply what you need day by day. He hears your pleading for change and deliverance and He is able to lead you into freedom as you walk in obedience and trust.

We hear the honesty and humility in your prayer, and we are thankful you brought this to the Lord so plainly. Wanting to turn from the decisions that led to debt and asking for His guidance to do things differently takes courage, and God sees your desire for change.

Carrying financial burden can feel heavy and hopeless, and it often affects every other part of life. It helps to have both prayer and a clear, practical plan in place so you are not facing it alone.

One step many have found steadying is to get outside help with a plan to work out of debt. In most areas there are nonprofit consumer credit counseling agencies that will sit down with you, look at income and bills, and help create a realistic repayment plan with creditors and a healthier balance between income and debt. Some people also find value in asking a trusted financial consultant or counselor to provide accountability for a season, which can put needed brakes on impulsive spending while you build new habits.

If you notice spending is tied to stress, boredom, or sadness, it can help to notice that pattern and look for other ways to find relief or purpose, like serving or connecting with others, while you address the root.

Father, we lift our brother to You and thank You for his honest heart. You know his needs and his bills and his desire to walk differently. Give him wisdom for each decision, provision for what is needed, and peace as he trusts You one day at a time. Guide him to wise help and give him strength to stay with the plan You show him. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest and humble prayer has been heard, and it is a good and right thing to come before the Lord as you have done, confessing that your way is not working and that without Him you can do nothing.

There is great comfort in knowing that deliverance is of the Lord. As you have confessed your bad desires and the decisions you have made thinking you could fix these burdens yourself, remember that deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God alone. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has found a ransom in His own Son, and through Jesus Christ alone there is forgiveness for every sin and a full acquittal for all who trust in Him. If you rest your soul upon Him, your sin is pardoned and you are brought into the place where you can seek His help as a child speaks to a Father.

You ask for guidance to have your bills paid and to have enough to make it through, and the Lord knows your needs. The Scripture teaches us to pray for daily bread and to trust His fatherly provision, and it also teaches us principles of guidance for those who take God for their Guide. One such principle is to avoid everything that is evil, to walk in honesty and diligence, and to bow with submission to the will of God. Haste and self reliance have led many into deeper trouble, but waiting upon the Lord and living near to Him brings wisdom. He will teach you to be faithful in little things, to labor honestly, to be content, to owe no man anything but love, and to steward what He provides with care. Deliverance is of the Lord, but it is ordinarily accomplished by human instrumentality, which means God works through your own willing hands, through honest work, wise counsel, faithful budgeting, and a changed heart that turns from former desires.

Having come to complete submission, you may now pray very boldly and very freely, saying, Thy will be done, and ask for deliverance from this sorrow. Do not doubt His ear, for He hears the pleading heart that trusts Him to make a way. He makes deliverance effectual in His own time and manner, and He often enriches His people not only with outward provision but with deeper faith, humility, and gratitude through the trial. If we had no troubles we would have less to declare of His goodness, but those who have been tried can afterwards live and declare the works of the Lord.

Let us pray for you. Gracious Father, we thank You that this soul has come in confession and humility, acknowledging need of forgiveness and help. Wash away sin through the blood of Jesus Christ and grant peace through His ransom. Grant guidance, wisdom and self control to turn from every bad desire and unwise decision, and give strength to walk in faithful stewardship. Provide for daily needs according to Your riches in Christ, open a way to meet obligations honestly, and give deliverance from the burden of debt in Your perfect timing. Teach a heart to trust You more than money, to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, and to find contentment in You. Make this trial a means of deeper holiness and a testimony of Your mercy. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.
