We understand your heart’s cry for financial relief, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He is our Provider and the One who owns all things. The weight of debt can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Let us first remind you of the truth found in Scripture, which assures us of God’s care and provision for His children.
In Philippians 4:19, we read, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This promise is not dependent on our circumstances but on God’s faithfulness. Similarly, in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus must remain on seeking the Lord and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for your needs as you walk in obedience to Him.
We also recognize that debt can sometimes be the result of poor stewardship, unforeseen circumstances, or even generational patterns that need to be broken. If there is any area in your life where financial decisions have not honored God—such as reckless spending, lack of planning, or trusting in worldly systems over Him—we urge you to repent and ask the Lord for wisdom moving forward. Proverbs 22:7 tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While this may feel like a harsh reality, God can redeem even this situation as you surrender it to Him. He is a God of restoration, and He can turn what was meant for harm into something that brings Him glory.
It is also critical to address the fact that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we receive salvation and access to God’s throne of grace. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. It is only through this relationship with Christ that your prayers are heard and your needs are met according to His will.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by the weight of debt. Lord, You see the stress, the anxiety, and the sleepless nights this has caused, and we ask that You would intervene supernaturally in this situation. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You open doors of provision that no man can shut, whether through unexpected income, wise financial strategies, or the cancellation of debts as only You can ordain. Father, we rebuked the spirit of poverty and lack that seeks to oppress Your child, and we declare that Your abundance is being poured out in their life.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment. If there have been financial mistakes or ungodly patterns, we pray for conviction and repentance. Teach them to be a good steward of the resources You provide, and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word in every area, including their finances. Break any generational curses or strongholds that have contributed to this burden, and replace them with Your blessings and favor.
We declare that this debt is not the end of their story but a testimony of Your faithfulness. Just as You multiplied the loaves and fishes, provided manna in the wilderness, and turned water into wine, we trust You to provide miraculously in this situation. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You, and remind them that their worth is not found in their bank account but in their identity as Your beloved child.
Finally, Father, if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their heart to receive Your forgiveness and grace. May they place their trust in Jesus alone for salvation and for every area of their life, including their finances.
