Many times, I hear Christians debating over the meaning of this verse and that. It could be the same verse, but one states it means one thing, another argues back, No, it means {fill in}. Some say the verse is given as an example, not a literal meaning, another says, no, the Bible means everything literally. I hear of different subjects in the Bible that pastors see differently. Sooo…. how do we tell who's "right" or "wrong" if 2 men of God disagree? OR, is it possible to know everything, because, "Now we see through a glass darkly, but then we shall see clearly." {"Then we shall see Him as He is, for we shall be like Him"} For now.....
the question is....why does it matter to u who is right or wrong? The Bible tells us that all men are liars… therefore I trust no man to be the truth other than Jesus Himself. Jesus being the Word of God then has me believing only the Bible what God's Word tells me when I read it myself… what I believe the Holy Words are saying to me not what any man believes what they are telling him because I don't know whether it was Jesus or an evil spirit revealing to that man what he received from his reading the Word. I trust only on Jesus. I learned a long time ago that bickering over who is right or wrong about different verses in the Bible is just another way Satan causes confusion in man and always draws man away from God instead of towards Him. I say read your Bible and pray and trust Jesus to reveal the truth to you…. except that He will and let the rest of mankind believe what they will, it is God's place and that of the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to mankind not ours. We can only share the Word among ourselves, plant the seed to get others to read their Bible and to get to know and love God and then the Lord can and will take it from there. We were told to spread the Word, not define it. The Bible authenticates and proves itself… if one hasn't the time to search that out for themselves then perhaps that individual isn't a chosen one of the Lord? I read through my Bible once a year and have been doing so for some 40 or so years now. I love my Bible; there is no book like it. It is truly alive and full of precious treasures. Of all the blessings God has to give us, surely Jesus… His Word is number one on the list. I love you Jesus and will spend forever giving you the love, worship, and Glory you so have earned and so deserve.
