🙇🏻 Death & Fear of Death DESTROYED through Jesus' Death & Resurrection Heb 2:14-15 To Know This Well & Your Great Power Raising Him Eph 1:17-19...

🙌 Father, we thank You that we love ONLY because You first loved us, 1 Jn 4:19, and the limited understanding we possess in this age, 1 Cor 13:9, Deut 29:29. Yet still we would abound still more, Phil 1:9, 1 Thes 3:12, 1 Thes 4:9-10, and ask a greater comprehension of the great love for the humans of the world that You would give Your Only Son, Jn 3:16, and the eternal life that Christ obeyed at head-shaking wonder to secure, Phil 2:1-11, and what You mean when The Holy Spirit says about Jesus, “who by His death, defeated him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and liberated those who through fear of death were enslaved to fear their entire lives," Heb 2:14-15. We ask You destroy fear of death among believers through grasping that You already did it for us -- let our hearts be flooded with light to know the hope to which we were called and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance, Eph 1:18… Give us wisdom and revelation to understand You, the hope of our calling, the riches of Your inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of Your power You exerted in Christ in the resurrection, Eph 1:17-19.

🙏 Open our minds to understand the Scriptures, Lk 24:45, even to understand the Scriptures and the Power of God, Mk 12:24. Help us know what Jesus is saying and John testified, “When I saw Jesus, I fell at His feet like a dead man. But He placed His right hand on me and said, ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last, 18 The Living One -- I was dead, and behold, NOW I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades,’” Rev 1:17-18. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, Heb 11:6, in The One Mediator's Name, 1 Tim 2:5, Jesus Christos, The Anointed One's (Messiah's) Name in The Name of Jesus Christ, again, in The Name of Jesus Christ, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen and Faithful Witness, The Originator of the New Creation, Rev 3:14, in Jesus, The One in Whom ALL God's Promises are Yes, and through Him we say, Amen, 2 COr 1:20....

We join you wholeheartedly in this prayer and make it our own before the Father, for this is the very heart of the gospel and the victory we have in Christ.

We thank God with you that we love only because He first loved us, as it is written in 1 Jn 4:19, and that even with our limited understanding in this age, for we know in part as in 1 Cor 13:9, and the secret things belong to the Lord as in Deut 29:29, we are still called to abound more and more in love and knowledge as in Phil 1:9 and to increase and abound in love toward one another as in 1 Thes 3:12 and 1 Thes 4:9-10. We agree with you in asking for a greater comprehension of the love with which God so loved the world that He gave His only Son as in Jn 3:16, and the eternal life that Christ secured through His humble obedience even to death as in Phil 2:1-11.

We stand on the truth you have lifted up from Heb 2:14-15 that since the children have shared in flesh and blood, He also Himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death He might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. This is finished work. Death is not merely lessened, it is destroyed, and the fear of death which enslaved us is broken by His death and resurrection. We also cling to 2 Tim 1:10 that Christ has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News, and to 1 Cor 15:54-57 that death is swallowed up in victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So we pray together now, Father, flood our hearts with light as You promised in Eph 1:18 that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to know the hope to which You have called us and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints. Grant us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You as in Eph 1:17, that we may truly know the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of Your might which You worked in Christ when You raised Him from the dead as in Eph 1:19-20. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures as You did for the disciples in Lk 24:45, and keep us from error by helping us to know the Scriptures and the power of God as in Mk 12:24.

We ask You to make real to every fearful heart what John saw and heard, when he fell at His feet like a dead man, but He laid His right hand on him saying, Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last, and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades as in Rev 1:17-18. Lord Jesus, You hold the keys. Death cannot hold us, Hades cannot claim us, the devil has been brought to nothing, and we are no longer slaves to fear.

Father, we thank You in advance that You hear us when we ask according to Your will as in Mk 11:24, and that without faith it is impossible to please You but You reward those who diligently seek You as in Heb 11:6. We ask all of this through the one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus as in 1 Tim 2:5, and in the name of Jesus Christ the Anointed One, for whatever we ask in His name He will do as in Jn 14:13-14, the Amen and faithful witness, the Beginning of the creation of God as in Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and through Him is our Amen as in 2 Cor 1:20. Let this truth destroy fear in us and in all Your people, and let us walk in the freedom and boldness of those who know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, for perfect love casts out fear as in 1 Jn 4:18. We receive this by faith and give You thanks in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer so honestly. We can hear your longing to move from knowing about Jesus' victory over death to truly resting in it when fear rises.

That longing itself is a good place to be. Fear of death is a very human experience, and wanting to grasp more deeply the hope we have in the resurrection is something many believers carry. We are glad you are bringing it directly to the Father and asking for light and understanding.

One thing that has helped others with this same fear is to name it specifically before the Lord rather than letting it stay vague. When a wave of fear comes this week, you might simply tell Him what you are feeling in that moment and ask Him to remind you He is near and holds your future. Staying rooted in regular worship and in honest conversation with other believers can also keep that hope from feeling abstract.

We join our faith with yours as you wait on Him to make His love and power more real to you day by day.

Father, we thank You for loving us first and for the life Jesus secured through His death and resurrection. Give our friend growing peace and clarity, quiet the fear that clings so tightly, and help him to know more deeply the hope and power that are his in Christ. Draw him close and keep him in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is much that is pleasing to the Lord in the prayer you have sent, for you ask for that which God delights to give, namely, a fuller knowledge of His love and of the power which raised Christ from the dead.

You rightly observe that the fear of death is natural to man as a sinner. It answers a purpose in the economy of humanity and is in itself a part of the punishment of sin, yet while it is natural to the sinner, it is not necessary to the saint. Scripture tells us plainly that our Lord Jesus took part in flesh and blood, that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Where then shall we look to be delivered from this fear. We must look to Jesus Christ on the Cross atoning for us, in the Resurrection rising for us, in Glory taking possession of our home for us, and at the right hand of God preparing our place for us. He possesses all power and uses it for His people.

You ask to know the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. This power of His resurrection is not only the power displayed in the act itself, but the power which comes out of it. It is an evidencing power, sealing the truth of His sacrifice, a justifying power by which we are cleared, a life giving power by which dead souls are quickened, and a consoling power by which the heart is sustained. Your own regeneration, if you have been raised from spiritual death, was by the same power that shall one day raise your dust to glorious immortality. What was wrought in Christ is the pledge of what shall be wrought in you.

And so we join you in prayer to the Father who loved us before we loved Him. We ask that He would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe. We ask that He would open your mind to understand the Scriptures, and to know both the Scriptures and the power of God. May you hear anew the words of the Living One who said when John fell at His feet as dead, Do not be afraid, I am the First and the Last, I am He that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore, and have the keys of Death and of Hades. He who has the keys shall surely bring His own through the doorway without terror.

Happy is the man who is in that prepared state, for he need have no fear of death. If you would be kept from this bondage, use the telescope very frequently. Look often through it to the unseen glory, to Christ risen and reigning, and the fear which now troubles you shall be destroyed by the knowledge that He has already destroyed death for you. May the Lord flood your heart with light, and keep you abiding in the One Mediator, Jesus Christ, in whose name every promise is Yes and Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is right and good, and we join with you in it before the Father. You have asked for what the Scriptures themselves promise, that we may know with certainty that death and the fear of death have been destroyed through Jesus.

For Christ by His death defeated him who had the power of death, that is the devil, and He has liberated those who through fear of death were enslaved all their lives, as it is written in Hebrews 2:14-15. The tyranny is overthrown. The devil threatened us with death, and because we feared death we were slaves, submitting to all things rather than die, living without pleasure while that fear was present. But now the fear is taken away, and with it the devil's strength is brought to nothing. For if a person has learned to despise even life itself for Christ's sake, what loss of property or honor or comfort can enslave him any longer. He is higher than all and more free than all.

We pray with you that God would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your heart would be flooded with light, as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-19, so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of His power which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. That same power is at work in you. We have not received a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Remember what the Lord said. Fear not those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. They may strive ten thousand ways, yet over the better part they shall not prevail, for they are not able to kill the soul. And remember also His word to Martha, I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. This death which we see is not truly death for the believer. Since Christ came, death has become a sleep. As He said of the young girl, she is not dead but sleeping, and as He said of Lazarus, our friend sleeps. He who holds the keys of Death and Hades, the Living One who was dead and behold is alive forever and ever, as John heard in Revelation 1:17-18, has also opened our minds to understand the Scriptures, as He did for His disciples in Luke 24:45.

Therefore do not sorrow as those who have no hope. We were planted together with Him in the likeness of His death in baptism, buried with Him, so that as His body buried in the earth brought forth the salvation of the world, our burial with Him brings forth righteousness and adoption. And as we have shared in the likeness of His death, so we shall share in the likeness of His resurrection. Persecutions and afflictions ought not to disturb you but to make you glad, because through them we are conformed to His death, and we travel the same road He traveled.

So we ask the Father, who loved us first and gave His only Son so that whoever believes should not perish but have eternal life, to destroy all lingering fear of death among you and among all believers, to make you laugh death to scorn, and to raise up your soul. May He magnify Christ in your body, whether by life or by death, and make you confident that neither death nor life can separate you from His love. May you join in the cry of victory, Where, O Death, is your victory, Where, O Grave, is your sting, knowing that Christ has already won it for you.

We thank Him in advance that He hears when we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, the one mediator, the faithful witness, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen.
