Dear Lord, we pray for the soul of ###'s friend and his wife. Please comfort their grieving family with the presence of your Holy Spirit, and show them the hope that is in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We pray also that you heal the relationships that have soured into apathy. Work in the hearts of ### and her children that they become soft before you. As you soften their hearts to your love, may you increase their love for each other. Allow them to listen carefully to each other and to respond in love and obedience. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May you comfort the wife who has been left by her husband, give her strength to move on and to trust in you for guidance, providence and protection.
