Dear Lord you know that my ex husband and I never divorced and its been 19 years since we have seperated. We joke every year on our anniversary that we made it to another one. We just had the toughest year of our lives dealing with the attack of our son Anthony. God strangely we have always been together for all holidays, family vactions, family events and many other things. He's been a great co-parent with the exceptions of his occasional drinking. Lord I know he's worked on this and is drinking much less than in the past but he is not free from the habit. Lord God so much has happened. I dont think we know where we should be or belong. God I have never surrendered this situation to you. I now ask Lord and pray that your will be done with our lives and us. I know that he has never moved on. I never have either. We actually became a better couple and more united as friends and parents by seperating. My husband has always said that he loves me and shows it in his gestures. I have no doubt in my mind. God only you know why and what you are doing, and what should be. Lord I pray your will be done.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
