Dear Lord, you have seen me through good times. You have lifted me through bad times when all hope was lost. Throughout my working career, you have been there protecting me from all those that have wished me ill or those that have wanted me out. As a family man, you have given me a wonderful wife, a wonderful son and daughter in law and a wonderful daughter. What else can a man ask for? I pray that you will keep my family together and most of all in a Christian way. Give me and my family the courage and strength to forever worship you always. You have been my refuge and have always provided shelter when I needed it most. I remain forever grateful and praise your Holy Name. I am where I am because of your mighty power. When I look back where I started from, I praise you and magnify your Holy Name for I know that there is no God greater than you. You are the Beginning and you are the End. You have taught me to be patient and most of all to be faithful to you. Faith as in Daniel in the den of the lions, Noah's Ark and his faith of obedience, Abraham's faith in the impossible, Moses when he fled the children of Israel and crossed the Red Sea into the promised land, Abel who offered more excellent sacrifice to God than Cain, Enoch who pleased God and never saw death and was never found. It is for this reason that I humbly kneel and pray before you and ask through you a promotion at my place of work to the next level. The next level is of importance to me as I prepare myself to exit public service. I know there are a few openings around the world in my field and at your own time and when time is ripe, I would wish to be considered. God, you change the hearts of man whenever you want to. I ask that you gain me a favor to those in charge of promotions to look at me in a positive and favorably manner. I know and believe that there is nothing impossible with you! I ask that other believers on this platform join me in this prayer. Amen

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
