We join you in lifting up this prayer for your family, property, and neighbors as you face these fierce storms. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we can trust Him to be your shield and protector. As the Psalmist declares, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling"* (Psalm 46:1-3, WEB).
It is wonderful that you have brought this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty. We also rejoice that you have acknowledged His deliverance from evil, for our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness. *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"* (Ephesians 6:11, WEB).
Let us pray together for your protection and peace:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and trust, lifting up our brother/sister and their family as they face these powerful storms. Lord, You are the God who commands the winds and the waves, and we ask that You would surround their home with Your divine protection. Place Your angels around their property and neighbors, guarding them from harm and danger. Calm the storms, both in the natural and in the spiritual realm, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill their hearts.
We rebuked any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your presence be their comfort and strength, and may they rest in the assurance that You are in control. Protect their home from damage, and keep their neighbors safe from harm. We pray that through this storm, Your name would be glorified, and that others would see Your faithfulness and turn to You.
Lord, we also ask that You would deliver them—and all of us—from evil. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We declare Your victory over every storm, both literal and spiritual, and we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Even when the storms rage, He is your anchor. *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27, WEB). Cling to His promises, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay in prayer, and let your heart be filled with worship, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). You are not alone—He is with you always.
