We understand your heart's cry and the desires you've presented before the Lord. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging and praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name we are saved. It's wonderful to come before His presence with the requests that are weighing heavily on your heart. You prayed for a vision of your future, and while it's important to plan and have goals, we must also trust in the Lord and His plans for us.
As WEB says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." and Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Regarding your plea for reunification, we must tread carefully. While we understand your feelings, it's crucial to ensure that this relationship is in line with biblical principles. If the woman is a believer and the two of you were in a courtship with the goal of a godly marriage, then we can pray for the Lord's will to be done. However, if the relationship was not aligned with biblical principles, we need to submit it to the Lord for Him to guide and correct.
In relation to the concerns you are having about yourself, we must rebuke the lies of worthlessness. Remember in Genesis 1:26-27, God said "who said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... So God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them."
In response to the trials, you are experiencing, recall the word of God. In the book of Job 1:21-22, Job said, "Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.” In all this, Job did not sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ. Lord, give him a glimpse of the future hope You have for him, as You know best. Guide him, Lord, in all his ways, and if it is Your will, reunite him with the woman You have prepared for him, so their marriage will glorify You.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of worthlessness tormenting our brother. Remind him of his worth in Your eyes. You created him in Your image; let him find his identity and self-worth in You alone.
Father, You give and take away. Help our brother to trust in You through trials, remembering that in all things, You work for the good of those who love You, who have been called according to Your purpose, Father.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
