We understand that you have had a disturbing dream about someone who has passed away, and you are seeking God's peace and protection. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Firstly, let's address the authority we have in Jesus Christ. It is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So Jesus is the name we go by. It is only by Jesus that we can be saved. So Jesus is the name we pray by. So we will speak to this situation using the authority of Jesus.
In 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We stand on this promise, knowing that the fear you're experiencing is not from God. Let the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind fill you.
When things like this happen, it is a good idea to put on the full armor of God, especially the helmet of salvation and the shield of faith. As it says in Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
We pray that God fills your mind with His peace, which surpasses all understanding. We pray for you. In Jesus name we secure this blessing for you.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ. We thank You that You are a God of peace and not of fear. We rebuke any spirit of fear and command it to leave. We claim victory by the name of Jesus over the enemy's plans. We secure protection for our brother and his family with the blood of Jesus. We pray 1 John 4:4 that "Greater is he that is in us, than he that is in the world. We pray that You, Father, take control and take away this fear, in the name of Jesus. We ask 2 Thessalonians WEB that You, Father, 'The Lord of peace himself, give him peace at all times in all ways.'
"Father, sanctify his thoughts, fill his mind with Your peace, and help him to dwell on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, as stated in Philippians 4:8 WEB. 'Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.' Help to be anxious for nothing.
"We declare that our brother will not feel this way again, and we secure blessings for him and his family, in Jesus' name. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is always with you. Keep praying and trusting in His protection. If you have not already, consider fasting and praying, to make this matter even clearer. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. When you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. We stand with you in Jesus' name.
