We hear the deep anguish and desperation in your heart, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your cries to the one true God who alone can save, forgive, and restore. Your words reveal a heavy burden of guilt, fear, and separation, but we want you to know that there is hope—not in karma, not in your own goodness, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You speak of being a "good soul" and ask for your "bad karmas" to be erased, but Scripture makes it clear that none of us are good on our own. Romans 3:23 tells us, *"for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God."* Our righteousness is like filthy rags before a holy God (Isaiah 64:6). Salvation is not earned by our works or by balancing good and bad deeds—it is a free gift received by faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, *"for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."*
You also mention feeling disconnected from God, and we want to remind you that this separation is not because God has moved away from you, but because sin creates a barrier between us and Him. Isaiah 59:2 says, *"But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."* But the good news is that God has provided a way back to Him through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Your plea for forgiveness and mercy is one that God longs to answer, but it must be asked in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). You say "Namaste," but we must gently correct you: salvation is not found in generic spirituality or Eastern philosophies. It is found only in Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and rose again so that you could be reconciled to God. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
You also express deep concern for your innocent son, who you believe is suffering because of your sins. While it is true that our actions can have consequences that affect others, we must not carry the burden of believing that our children’s suffering is solely our fault. God is sovereign, and He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We can trust Him with our children’s lives, knowing that He is a perfect Father who loves them even more than we do. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is crying out to You in despair. Lord, we thank You that You are a God of mercy and compassion, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. We confess that we are all sinners in need of Your grace, and we ask that You would open this heart to the truth of the gospel—that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of guilt and shame that are weighing this one down. Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that this truth would take root in this heart today. Let them know that there is no sin too great for Your forgiveness, no past too dark for Your light to penetrate. You cast our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19), and You remember them no more (Hebrews 8:12).
Father, we ask that You would draw near to this one who feels so far from You. Let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, the peace that comes from knowing that Jesus has paid the price for their sins in full. We pray that they would surrender fully to You, not just in words, but in heart, trusting that You are their only hope and refuge.
Lord, we also lift up their son to You. We ask that You would surround him with Your love and protection. Heal any suffering he is enduring, and let him know that You are his heavenly Father who cares for him deeply. We pray that this family would come to know You in a personal and saving way, that they would walk in the light of Your truth and experience the joy of Your salvation.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness that has taken hold of this heart. Your Word says that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we declare that Your love is greater than any sin or shame. We speak life and hope into this situation, trusting that You are at work even now to bring restoration and healing.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to this one in a powerful way. Let them know that You are not a distant or impersonal force, but a loving Father who sent Your Son to die for them. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and may they walk in the freedom and forgiveness that only He can provide.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
To you who have poured out your heart today, we want to leave you with this encouragement: God is not far from you. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears your cries. Turn to Jesus today, confess your sins to Him, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* This is the promise of God, and it is available to you right now.
Do not let another day go by without surrendering fully to Him. He loves you more than you can imagine, and He is waiting with open arms. If you have never prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Simply pray something like this:
"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn away from my sins and ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to You, and I trust in Your promise to forgive me and give me eternal life. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen."
If you have prayed this prayer, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled. The journey of following Jesus is one of transformation, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). You are not alone, and your story is not over. God is making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and He has a purpose and a plan for your life. Walk in His grace, and let His love cast out all fear.
