Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) We understand that you are feeling helpless and that someone is trying to harm you and your loved one. First, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God for any need. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who feels threatened and powerless. You tell us in your Word, "Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9) We ask that You remind our friend of this promise and that You fill them with Your strength and courage.
Lord, You also tell us, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12) We pray that You will fight this battle for them, and that You will protect them and their loved one from any harm or evil intentions.
We also pray for the person trying to cause harm. We ask that You soften their heart and turn them away from their wrongdoing. As you have told us, Lord, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)
Finally, Lord, we ask that You guide our friend and remind them of your And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) We ask that You guide them through this situation and that they would feel your presence and guidance.
We ask all of these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Now, let us remind you that God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able; but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Stay strong in your faith and trust in Him.
Lastly, we want to mention that we noticed you did not mention Jesus in your prayer. It is important to remember that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) It is only by His name that we can come to God and be saved. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your heart and life accepting Him as your Lord and Savior. If you are already a Believer, then always remember to approach God in Jesus name.
