Dear Friends:

I'm so depressed. I've had this depression for almost a year. I have been hospitalized, receive psychiatric treatment and counseling, but after 17 weeks, I can't tell any improvement. I can't go on living this way. I'm a minister and can't understand why God will not touch me. I have repeatedly pray for forgiveness of my sins, but I feel God forsaken.

I cannot tell you that I know what you are going through , but your Heavenly Father DOES and He has NOT forsaken you , no matter how you might " FEEL " He is right there  ! The battle is the Lord's and He says that the victory is ours ! Cast All your cares upon Him for He cares for you ! The weapons of our warfare are not carnel , but mighty through God pulling down strongholds , casting down imaginations , in every high place that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God . I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me . If God be for me , then who can stand against . Greater is He who is in me , than he who is in the world . I am sure that you know all of these scriptures , but let them get deep down in your spirit , breathe in His words for YOU , make them personal , Christ is speaking to YOU , you are His beloved child and He loves you with an everlasting love that is so hard for us to comprehend . Remember without faith it is impossible to please Him , so do not loose your faith . Faith is what moves the hand of God . I am not sure if you are the minister who was on this website earlier that said he was resigning from the church or not , but if that is you , maybe you can just take a leave of absence for a while and really seek direction from the Lord . We will continue to pray for you dear sir .

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
