###, the Lord is not punishing you, all of God's wrath was put upon Jesus when He was on the cross. If you have asked Jesus into your life to be your Lord and Savior then you are now His child and you have an advocate who will NEVER leave your side. All sickness comes from the enemy of our souls and the word of God tells us that he comes only to kill, steal, and to destroy. If you are a child of God, then you need to know and believe that God has given to us His authority and you can lay hands on your brother and speak healing over him. I pray that your brother is a Christian and is ready to meet Jesus, if not then please have a hospital chaplain or a pastor from church come to share the gospel with him. You both are in my prayers.
