Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Please pray with me regarding this.
My mom and I recently moved into a flat (apartment) a few months ago. At the time all was fine as the flat was nice. There is a block of flats (a building) in the same sort of property where our building is situated. The owner of the building decided to evict all those in that building in September. He literally evicted tenants who were living there for 40 years or more and was only giving them a month to move out instead of the standard 3 months in our country. He was then taken to the Rent Board and an extension was given to the tenants. He lied to the tenants about why he wanted them out saying that it was due to the building being unstable when instead he intended on putting students in the building instead. In September, even as people were still living there and trying to find places to move out, he began renovations for the students in order for him to meet whatever deadline he may have. He did this because offering student accommodation to the universities and other institutions here pays a lot of money and possibly more than he would be collecting in rent from regular tenants.
However, ever since then, the tenants of the building we are currently living in, have been afraid (including myself as we have now only been here for just under 6 months) that he might do the same thing in this building. I have honestly been really worried but as it is approaching the end of the year, I seem to be afraid of things now. Please brothers and sisters in Christ, I ask that you pray with me regarding this matter. People in the building I am currently living in have been staying here for ages. The landlord and his brothers are not of our faith, and they are so concerned with financial well-being that they threw out elderly people from that other building, without even thinking about it. Furthermore, it scares me as I do not personally have the money to pay a deposit down on a new place as yet and as my sister assists me to pay my rent at the moment, I am scared to put pressure on her by asking even though I know she will assist.
Please pray with me regarding this landlord and his brothers, that they will feel God's presence and be more caring and less heartless, and that God will rescue me and my mom from this situation, that we may not have to move out. Please pray with me. I do not even know what exactly to pray for but I just pray for God's help in this. I am praying about this but I ask that you please pray with me and for me and my mom.
