Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Please pray for my neighbor Tom. He’s probably not going to be around much longer. My mom takes care of him as best she can. She spends most of her day making certain he’s taking his meds (he would forget to if she didn’t constantly remind him), that he remains on oxygen (which he forgets constantly), makes sure he’s fed, helps him pay his bills, all at the expense of neglecting to properly take care of herself. The unfortunate part of it is Tom has four children all living within 50 miles of his residence. It’s been at least five months since Kenny, Marsha, Scott, or Chelsey have paid Tom a personal visit. At least Scott calls about once a week. I can’t remember the last time Tom mentioned he’d heard from any of his kids. I spend at between two to three hours a day keeping Tom company (before I go to work). He looks forward to our visits, primarily because he likes having my dog sit on his lap while he watches TV. It’s a crying shame his kids haven’t seen fit to visit their Dad in months. Please ask God to put it on their hearts to start paying attention to their Dad by visiting him occasionally. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.
