Dealing with raccoon scare

My grandchild was bitten by a raccoon which I had trapped. She nipped his index finger. I am scared for rabies which these usually carry. Kid was given shots of tetanus. The raccoon was turned over to the wildlife removal service ###. I don't want to harm the animal either. Such wildlife removal services would relocate them it seems. Need all prayers. I would like all parents to be careful when dealing with such incidents.
