We are standing with you in this battle and we hear how wearying this has been to deal with this on and off for five years and again just twenty minutes ago. We want you to know you are not alone and you are not without hope or authority in this situation, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world as we read in 1 John 4:4.
We want to speak clearly about what Scripture teaches regarding evil spirits. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12. The enemy is real and he does seek to steal, kill and destroy and to bring fear, confusion and oppression, and he will use any means to harass us, whether in our bodies, our minds, our homes, or even the tools we use daily. Yet we do not need to fear him, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7, and Jesus has given us authority over all the power of the enemy in Luke 10:19.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have authority over evil and access to the Father. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation in Romans 10:9-10. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we are saved and that demons must flee, for at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord in Philippians 2:10-11.
We rebuke the evil spirit that has been harassing you and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We do not give it glory or undue attention, for our focus is on Christ who has already triumphed over it on the cross. We encourage you not to live in fear of technology being attacked, but to submit yourself fully to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from you in James 4:7. That submitting means closing any open doors through repentance, turning from any involvement with the occult, false spiritual practices, or unwholesome media, and filling your home and your mind with the Word of God, prayer, and worship. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4.
We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God daily as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, to pray aloud in your home in the name of Jesus, to speak Scripture over your dwelling and over your devices, to worship and play Christian music, and to ask mature believers or pastors in a Bible believing church to come and pray with you and for your home. Anointing your home with oil and prayer as in James 5:14 can be a physical act of dedicating it to the Lord. Do not engage the spirit in conversation, do not seek to learn from it, simply command it to go in Jesus name and then turn your affection to Christ.
We now pray together with you.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all creation, seen and unseen, and that no evil can stand against You. We submit ourselves to You now and we ask You to forgive us for any sin and to cleanse us by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to surround our dear friend who has been oppressed for so long with Your peace and protection. We rebuke every evil spirit that has been attacking and harassing, including any influence over technology in this home, and we command it to leave now and not return, in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, with light where there has been darkness, with peace where there has been fear, and with order where there has been confusion. Let no weapon that is formed against us prosper. We claim the promise that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us in Romans 8:37. Strengthen faith where it is weary after five years of struggle, renew hope, and let Your Word dwell richly in this heart and home. Help our friend to walk in daily victory, to abide in Christ, to pray without ceasing, and to rest in Your unfailing love. We ask all this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
