Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this request and for wanting to bring every detail before the Lord. He sees the situation with the dealership and He cares about the concerns you carry for yourself and for those close to you. When the future feels clouded and you are not sure which way to turn, Scripture reminds us that God is not far away in heaven only, He is present in this very place and in this very circumstance.
It is good to ask for favor and for a positive outcome, but the Word also teaches us to seek something deeper than just a favorable result. Esau is described as a profane man who had little interest in the promises of God. He despised his birthright and then later wanted the blessing that went with it. He sought the blessing with tears, yet he found no place for true repentance because his heart was set on the benefit and not on God Himself. God has promised that He will not turn away from a broken and contrite heart. As you pray for victory in this matter, ask first that your own heart and the hearts of those you love would be turned fully toward Jesus, valuing His promises and His purposes above any earthly advantage.
We are also reminded that God does not give to us on the basis of our ability to present ourselves well or to earn His favor by effort. Whatever God gives, He gives on the basis of grace received through faith. The law condemns, for cursed is everyone who does not continue in all that is written, but God made a covenant of blessing with Abraham and that blessing comes to us as children of faith through Jesus Christ. He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us, so that through faith in Him we are justified and counted righteous. While we were still sinners and ungodly, Christ died for us. That is how God has shown His love. You can rest in that grace as you go before the dealership, not trusting in persuasive words alone, but trusting in the Lord who loves you and who works according to His sovereign purpose. He loved Jacob not because Jacob was worthy, but because of His own gracious election, and that same grace is your comfort today.
Because you are loved in this way, you can walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself as an offering to God. Go to present your case with honesty, kindness and respect, seeking to reflect that love. And in all things give thanks to God through Jesus Christ, for this is His will for you. Thanksgiving keeps the heart at peace even while you wait for an answer.
I join you in prayer that the Lord would give you wisdom and calm as you speak with those at the dealership, that He would guide the conversation toward what is honest and good, and that He would grant a result that aligns with His will for you. I pray that He would bless and protect you and all who are close to you, and all that concerns you, covering you by the mighty blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins and for access into fellowship with God. I pray especially for the one close by whom you mentioned, that God would grant clear wisdom for right choices and decisions, that their future would be bright because it is built on drawing nearer to Christ, and that the Lord would cause His showers of blessing to come in His perfect season. May you all rejoice in the hope of the glory of God, knowing that He who did not spare His own Son will faithfully care for every need you bring to Him.
