Day 35 Fast Seeing It From The Lord's Eyes

Acts 1:6-8

Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

I have a great feeling of The Lord's awesome power when I go to church and the sermon speaks directly to a situation I am in. Over the weekend I have had the great privilege of spending some time really getting to know some children in the youth program at church. I know some of their stories from their parents, but hearing from the children themselves is overwhelming. The issues these 9 children have experienced in the past and are currently dealing with: reoccurring abandonment from parents, sexual abuse, parental mental health issues, adultery, losing a parent to death, almost losing a parent to death due to cancer or accident, physical and emotional abuse. To meet these kids in a normal social environment nobody would ever know. Some are passionate for the Lord, some are seeking The Lord, all are great kids. The prevailing thought I have had is, as adults, we justify, and rationalize so many sins due to our past wounding. Many adults have not been through half of what these kids have been through myself included.

Feeling their heartache, and pain is almost unbearable for me. We have talked and prayed, in the end I cannot wave a magic wand and take all the pain away.

When the Apostles ask "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the Kingdom to Israel?" They still did not get it. Do I get it, most of the time "no". It is like asking, "Lord now that I have done all You ask, will You answer my prayers, and now?" Or, "Lord, we prayed, we talked, this is completely unfair so ok heal these children, now, please."

I have complete faith The Lord does not want these children to be in pain, and He has the power to heal them, it is possible my timing is not lining up with His? Do I have complete trust He will?

Lord lead me to see this situation through Your eyes, give me a heart like You.

I stand on the Truth of the Word

Luke 18:16
But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

I proclaim All glory and Honor are Yours Jesus Christ. I trust in Your goodness, power, and desire to heal them and set them free. Thank You Jesus.

"Without a vision, the people perish"...Lord bring these children a vision from You..cover them and guide them to the fullness of Your truth guide their steps and keep their paths straight to You...send ministering angels to touch situations and circumstances to bring You glory and honor...set a hedge of protection around them make them One with You...in Jesus name...

Suffering! As believers, this can be a difficult thing to study and acknowledge in all of our lives. We need to understand that we will ALL suffer as believers at some point, or points, in our lives. And we should never blame God for it; that He is not faithful to His Word; that He doesn't hear...

Today I began my fast. I am doing a Daniel fast. I have failed at fasting, I believe, due to the fact I was doing it to please God or somehow gain His acceptance. I still do not know exactly why I am doing it except I am walking in obedience to the Lord. On day 1 I already have a praise report...
