Day 25

Good evening

Hi all I am doing a second one today to catch up and because there is something on my heart I would like to share. If I come across as judgmental I don’t mean to so please forgive me in advance. J

I have noticed a lot of us saying well the OP id being deceived by the devil, or our spouse is a liar etc. I don’t know how to say this correctly, but how do we know. We are casting judgment on their actions and thoughts. We all know that God can harden hearts to achieve a purpose etc. He did so with pharaoh.

We need to stop judging our spouse and the op. We need to stop holding them up to our standards and trying to control their actions. We just need to pray for them and if you don’t know how to pray for them let the Holy Spirit do it for you.

I am to the point that I don’t know how to pray for my spouse. Or how to pray for the OW in my situation or my son. I just tell God you know my heart please pray for me. We need to speak blessings over them not judge or criticize their actions no matter how hard. If you need to vent that is ok. That is getting it out, but when you vent just describe the action or events that happened, don’t add well they are being deceived, they are under Satan’s control etc. We know some of their actions may be but we need to stop dwelling on that part and dwell on ourselves. We are standing for our marriages and the salvation of everyone involved, so let’s speak life into all situations.

There is power in words and thoughts. The bible says everything we say should be to edify and to build up one another this includes our spouse and the other person.

I notice that when someone posts something about the OP others are quick to jump in and say well the nerve, or if it was me, or how dare they, etc. Why do we always assume the worst of that person in every situation? You are probably going to say because I know them, well do you really. I honestly don’t think the OW in my situation thinks of herself as a bad person etc. She probably feels justified in her actions because of what H has told her or other people etc. And I don’t think of my h as a bad person. He has made some bad decision and hurt me and will probably do so again but even if we were together he would hurt me unintentionally.

Let us stop thinking the worst of everyone and think well instead. As long as the first thing that comes to our mind where the op is concerned is not good thoughts then we haven’t released them to God yet, after all they are his children as well and I don’t think he appreciates us always looking for reasons to bring them down or us delighting in their pain.
Just a thought that came to mind.
Have a great night.
Anthonette.
