Good morning all, today many of you will celebrate 4th of July. We don’t have that celebration today in Bermuda. My husband do usually go and watch the fireworks somewhere together, as there are a lot of American based companies here so some companies and hotel have parties during the day.
I know a lot of us will be missing what we usually do without spouses especially during the holidays. As I was with my h last night I was asking him basic questions and I was asking him did he remember when….? And he got defensive said I was trying too hard. Even complained about how I dressed. Upset because came to see him look all sexy and stuff as he said. At the time I was really upset. But as I reflected on it this morning I am trying so hard to have what we had. And everything is different. From what he eats to everything.
That is when God told me it isn’t going to be the same. And that god me thinking. God is going to restore us to something new. Yes it is nice to have fond memories, but not when they make you hurt, we need to stop trying to recreate what we had and start living and building what we are going to have in the future. Some new, stronger and better. .
So go out today and enjoy your holiday and make new memories that you can share with your spouse when he comes back. I don’t think God intend when we are reunited with our spouses and reflect on this time of separation that all we will have to say well I cried that day. Oh and that day too. Make wonderful new memories and scrapbook to share. LIVE, LOVE and worship.
