1 Samuel 30:6: And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
The enemy of our soul comes to steal, kill, destroy, depress, oppress, and discourage us. Satan wants to steal God's Word out of our hearts anyway he can. He does not want God’s Word to take root in our lives. He will choke the Word out of us, snatch God’s Word out of us, or make us doubt God. Did God really say…(Genesis 3:1). He will try to make us too busy to pray, read or meditate upon God’s Word.
Let Us Pray: God I ask You in Jesus name, don’t let me allow Satan to steal Your Word out of my heart or mind. Let Your Word take root in my life. Let Your Word dwell within me richly and rule in my heart.
God let this be an everyday habit in my life, let this be my daily practice: When I wake up in the morning and all through the day, let me find myself telling You how much I appreciate You, thanking You for all that You have done for me, and praising You for who You are. Let me find myself daily spending quiet quality time alone with You in prayer, reading/meditating upon Your Word, and confessing Your promises over my life. God teach me how to encourage myself in the Lord like David did in the Bible. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Let me remind myself daily, God You are Good and You have been better than good to me. God all that I asked of You in this prayer, do the same for the writer of the prayer. God teach us how to encourage ourselves in the Lord. God forever honor this prayer over our lives. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Jesus. Amen.
