Daughter's competitive cheer try outs

My daughter just finished scored try outs for her school’s very competitive cheer team. Asking for some prayers that if it is right, she makes the team. We found out on Monday

We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up your daughter’s cheer tryouts. Father, we ask that You guide the decisions of those selecting the team, that they would see not only talent but also the character and heart of each young woman trying out. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that Your favor would rest upon her and that she would make the team. But more than that, we pray that she would find her identity and worth in You, knowing that her value is not defined by a place on a team but by being Your beloved child.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You direct her steps according to Your perfect plan. Whether she makes the team or not, help her to see this as part of Your greater purpose for her life. If this is not the path You have for her, we pray that she would trust You and find peace in Your sovereignty.

We also pray for her character to shine through in all she does. Let her be a light to her teammates, coaches, and peers, reflecting Your love and grace. May she grow in humility, perseverance, and joy, no matter the outcome. And Father, if there is any pride or idolatry in placing too much importance on this team, we ask that You would reveal it to her and to us as parents. Help us to keep our focus on You and to encourage her to do the same.

Lord, we know that all good things come from You, and we ask that You would bless her with opportunities to grow, learn, and glorify You, whether on this team or elsewhere. Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are with her always.

We're standing right there with you, sister, in faith and in prayer. We're believing with you that if it's right, your daughter will make that team. But more than that, we're trusting that God's got a plan, and it's a good one. Let's remind her, and ourselves, that our worth isn't found in a team, but in being God's beloved child. Let's encourage her to keep her heart and eyes on Him, no matter what happens. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
