Do Not Sin Against the Child
His Name-the Counsellor
A Word in Season
We join you in lifting up your precious daughter before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her needs to the Lord with such a loving and faithful heart. We hear your desire for her to walk on the right path, to make good choices in school, to be protected from temptation and bad influences, and to have a heart that is tender toward God rather than rebellious or defiant. The Lord hears the prayers of a parent and He cares deeply for your daughter.

We are reminded of the promise in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. And in Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Your prayer that God would hold her hand every step of the way reflects His own promise in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also take comfort that God desires to give wisdom and a spirit of self control, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and we pray that over her life and her choices at school.

We also hear your concern about bad influences and temptation. Scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33 Don't be deceived! Evil companionships corrupt good morals. It is right to pray for God to guard her friendships and to place godly influences around her, and to ask that the Holy Spirit would work in her heart to change her bad ways into more positive ways. True change comes not just from following rules outwardly but from a heart transformed by God. We pray that she will learn the blessing of obedience, for Ephesians 6:1 says Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, and that obedience will bring her peace and a straight path as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We pray together for her now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this daughter to You. We ask that You cover her with the precious blood of Jesus and place Your hand of protection over her mind, heart, and body. Guide her steps, Lord, and hold her right hand as she walks through each day at school. Give her a desire to do well, to make good choices, and to follow the right path that honors You. Remove a spirit of rebellion and defiance and replace it with a gentle and obedient spirit. Guard her from temptation and keep her away from bad influences and evil companions. Surround her with friends and teachers who will encourage what is good and pure. Let Your Holy Spirit dwell with her, touch her heart and soul, convict her where she needs correction, and draw her closer to You. Help her to understand that following Your ways is for her good and for her future. Give her parents wisdom, patience, and strength to guide her in love and truth, and help them to trust You as they leave everything in Your hands. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing for her, to speak truth to her in love, and to model a walk with Christ at home. Continue to teach her why God's ways are best, to set clear and loving boundaries, and to discipline with grace when needed, always pointing her to the forgiveness and power found in Jesus. Keep putting Your trust in the Lord and remember that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun. We stand with you, believing that God is at work in her heart even now and that He will lead her into more positive ways for His glory.

We hear how deeply you love your daughter and how much you want to see her protected and walking in the right direction. It is heavy to watch a child make choices that worry you at school and to feel you cannot steer her steps yourself. The Lord sees that love and that burden you have placed in His hands.

One thing that often helps in this season is keeping the relationship open while you also get a clearer picture of what is happening at school. When you can, set aside a calm, unhurried time to listen to her without immediately correcting, just asking what is hard or what pressures she feels around friends and schoolwork. It also helps to connect briefly with one teacher or counselor who knows her day to day, so you can pray and respond with better understanding and she feels supported from both sides rather than only corrected.

We are praying with you for her and for you as you guide her.

Father, we lift this daughter to You. Keep Your hand upon her, guard her from harmful influences and temptation, and draw her heart toward what is good and true. Give her a desire to make wise choices and to do her best in school. Fill her home with peace and give her mother wisdom, patience and strength for each step. Lead them both and keep them close to You. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your earnest prayer for your daughter is heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace on her behalf.

It is a good and right thing to ask the Lord to guide and keep her, for we naturally do not like being guided, and youth especially is prone to lean upon its own understanding. Yet happily, when grace works upon the heart, we learn to seek a Guide. The Psalmist prayed, Teach me to do thy will for thou art my God, and that is the very best prayer you can pray for her protection. If she is taught to do the will of God, none can truly harm her.

We pray that the Lord will put her to school with Himself, that He will infuse in her those great principles which belong to all who take God for their Guide, chief among them to avoid everything that is evil and to bow with submission to His will. Where the Bible leads, she shall not walk in darkness. May the Holy Spirit be with her, to touch her heart and turn her from wayward thoughts to more positive and holy ways, that she may not be rebellious or defiant, but obedient and willing to follow all that is right and good.

Remember also that he who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. We ask that the Lord would keep her in His appointed ways, in the path of diligence in her studies and in right companions, and give His angels charge over her to keep her in all her ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal, for He watches over His own, both in school and at home, and will not suffer any evil to harm those who trust Him.

Take comfort and continue to wait upon God to know what you shall do for her. Haste is the author of much mischief, but patient prayer and holy example avail much. It is the first and most natural duty of parents to train up their own children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and to set before them great reverence for the Holy Scriptures. Let her see in you a calm trust that God who has promised to bless will keep His promise, and let your holy patience prove your faith.

We now commend her to the Lord who is able to guide with His counsel on earth and afterward to receive to glory. May He cover her with the blood of Jesus, hold her hand at every step, keep her from temptation and from bad influences, and lead her to walk down the right path for His name's sake.

We leave everything in His hands, trusting His wisdom and love to do that which is best.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we pray, Amen.
